How to rename players Offline - Brawlhalla Patch 8.00, plus Brawlhalloween 2023 event and more

Brawlhalla recently launched Patch 8.00 with emphasis on Brawlhalloween 2023 event, new gadgets and an update for offline play or local multiplayer. Brawlhalloween is a special event in Brawlhalla that takes place annually during Halloween season. During this event, there are some additions in the game

The Brawlhalloween 2023 Event

Said additions can be arenas, emoji’s, skins and more. This year of course is no exception. Brawlhalla recently announced this event (Brawlhalloween 2023 event) and which is part of Patch 8.00.

New Skins

To commemorate this event, Brawlhalla also released a trailer which can be found on Brawlhalla’s official page over at X. It can also be found on its official website. One of such additions for this event was the introduction of brand new skins. These skins include Diabolical Doll Arcadia, Cthu’shang, Mad Doctor Ulgrim, Termin-gator Onyx, Ray of the Dead, Demon Rider Artemis, Corpse Bridge Mirage, Werewolf Thatch, Dusk till Dawn, Petra Reanimated, Skel-asuri, werebat Ragnir, Immortal Caspian, The Monster Gnash, Punkin spice Yumiko, Demonkin Diana, Horseman Lucien, Betwitching Scarlet.

New Sidekick, Emoji, Emote and Podium

Aside from the above, Brawlhalla revealed a brand new sidekick which is Diablo. Some new Emoji’s commemorating this seasonal/event include Ray of the Dead Thumbs up, Punkin Spice 1 More and Horseman cackle. The Skeleton dance emote has also been added. Another addition was the Ofrenda 2023 Podium.

New KO effect, Avatars and Brawlhalloween colors

The event also includes a brand new KO effect called the Jac-KO-Lantern which is an exclusive KO effect for Brawlhalloween. Additional avatars include the Pumpkin pyre and RIP (Rest in Pieces). The RIP is purchasable with gold. Haunting colors (purple, black and orange) were also added which is available for every legend

The Sticky Bomb

Patch 8.00 also introduces the Sticky Bomb. It’s a brand new gadget which attaches to a player when thrown, blinks in red for a short while and blows up. It can also be passed to another player by running into them.

Custon names for local Multiplayer

With the release of this patch, users now have the ability to rename players in local or offline tournaments. Meaning users can now have custom names visible on recordings instead of the “player 1”, “player 2”. To give players a custom name;

-Go to “Couch Party” in the “Offline Play” screen.

-Open the “Settings” menu and select the “Lobby” tab.

-Select either “Tournament 1v1” or “Tournament 2v2” and then select “Confirm”.

-In the “Manage Party” menu on the top left hand side, select the player you want to change the name of.

-On the popup screen that appears, select “rename”

-Type your new display name in the new popup screen, and press “Enter when completed”

-Enjoy your custom display name for the duration of the offline tournament!

This feature is available on PC, MacBook, PlayStation 4 and 5

Closure

Brawlhalla will have an 8th Anniversary event with brand new outfits for Artemis and Diana, a new sidekick and 3 new emoji’s. This event will begin in November 1st. Brawlhalla’s team also worked hard to fix bugs and some gameplay and UI updates. Brawlhalla will also host the Autumn Royale competition this weekend.
