Tatsuhiko participation and result in the Government Grant Program in Beat & Motion

Beat & Motion chapter 43 is out. I haven’t updated this site for some time now because of health related issues but I am feeling much better now. Because of that, this article is going to be a combination of several Chapters of Beat & Motion (Chapter 41-43).


Tatsuhiko, Akame and Nabari


Beat & Motion chapter 41 begins with Tatsuhiko, Akame and Nabari working together for the Grant Program. The reason Akame and Nabari are involved is because Tatsuhiko got approved to have two assistant animators. Akame and Nabari accepted the offer because they were free and they’ll be paid in the end. Nico felt uncomfortable they all stayed together.


Why Nico is upset


Tatsuhiko and Nico are now in a relationship so she wants time to be with her boyfriend. Tatsuhiko on the other hand wants to make money, save for his future with Nico and become a well-known animator. It was Nico’s day off so she expected them to go out but Tatsuhiko had other plans. He had to present about his Grant project (progress report).


How Tatsuhiko feels about the Relationship


Nico feels Tatsuhiko puts how work before their relationship. She acknowledges she’s become selfish since they started dating and it makes her feel bad. The chapter concluded with Nico revealing how she feels to Tatsuhiko. Tatsuhiko talked about how Nico is his driving force and how he is looking for a stable income so they both get married.


Tatsuhiko's effort


Chapter 42 gave insights into Tatsuhiko’s life as an artist. He uses 16hrs screen time daily for almost an entire year working on this project although it’s less than 30 minutes long. With the assistance of Akame and Nabari, Tatsuhiko would go through the work checking what he likes and what he doesn’t like.

Tatsuhiko left Akame and Nabari for his final progress report. He was excited by how far he’s come and his goal to eventually start making films. After speaking to Nico, Tatsuhiko got home earlier so he come view Nico’s live concert (watch her live). Tatsuhiko did so alongside Akame and Nabari. It was also revealed Nico doesn’t like showing her face in public when performing live. Viewers can’t easily see her face because of backlighting.

Screening


Tatsuhiko eventually completed his project right before April. It was time for screening. Six short animated films were presented totaling 60 minutes overall. A survey was passed around the theater and in order to people, people had to the right part representing which film they liked. This chapter concluded with a cold response to Tatsuhiko’s film.


After screening


Beat & Motion chapter 43 begins days after the Screening and Tatsuhiko is still heartbroken. This is because the project wasn’t as successful as he had hoped for. Psyche along with other companies said they’d get in touch with him if there were any openings but that has not been the case.

Akame and Nabari support Tatsuhiko


Akame and Nabari tried to comfort Tatsuhiko with Nabari insisting the problem is the Japanese Economy. Nabari went to speak to Tatsuhiko privately. Nabari emphasized on how other creators liked Tatsuhiko’s work although it didn’t get enough votes. Nabari believes if Tatsuhiko loves his work because it is something he deems “good”, it shouldn’t matter what others think.

Tatsuhiko believes his work is good but he is upset because of the audience’s reaction. Nabari barged in Tatsuhiko’s room urging him to believe in himself. It was revealed another reason they both decided to work by his side was because they believed him his skills so whenever Tatsuhiko undermines his skills, it makes both Akame and Nabari lose faith in themselves.


Closure


Chapter 43 concluded with Akame and Nabari urging Tatsuhiko to open up and not bottle up his feelings. From here on Tatsuhiko would need to push more in order to accomplish his dreams with the support of Akame and Nabari.
