As we all know, Wednesday Adams is what many, especially fans, regard to as "an icon." The 2022 premiere of the Netflix series was a huge success. Netflix had to continue it, of course, because it was so huge. Wednesday is a television program based on the Adams Family's well-known character "Wednesday Adams", but rather than emphasizing the other characters, it centers on the enigmatic "Wednesday Adams". Jenna Ortega portrays this character. Because of its popularity, Netflix released a teaser not long after the first season of the show had concluded. We were thrilled when, not long after the official teaser trailer's release, it was made public. The promotion was also excellent.
So let's simplify things. The well-known viral song was the trailer's biggest selling point. If you are unfamiliar with Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary, I strongly advise you to check it out because it served as the blueprint for the Wednesday song(remix) that went viral on social media , particularly on Tiktok. It was perfectly synced with the Wednesday dance scene, really catchy, and addictive (I'm listening to it as I write this). Although unofficial, some fans are very creative. Just goes to show how popular it was that this remix was used as the official song for the teaser trailer. Check out the "Wednesday dance scene Bloody Mary remix" if you haven't heard it yet. It was a smart marketing move by Netflix to use the popular song in the announcement trailer. Actually, I'm astonished that Netflix came up with that.
The second standout moment in the announcement trailer basically consisted of our lead character Wednesday discussing how she has been attacked, ridiculed, praised, and even mimicked. This character has experienced everything here in both fiction and reality, so it is all true.
It is clear from the above that the teaser was successful. The fact that it was memorable and relatable helped sell it. Fans were satisfied, it was well-received and it didn't let anyone down. We should be grateful for that because Netflix typically doesn't put much effort into its announcment teasers. It definitely sold-it because the marketing expertise was so outstanding, and this will be very advantageous because it won't be quickly forgotten.
There is always a bad, yes. Those who became excited for season 2 as a result of the teaser should exercise caution. It will receive hate because it was so good. The trailer raised anticipations. If the viral Wednesday Bloody Mary Remix isn't included in season 2, the critics will be very angry or What happens if they do use it and it is criticized for not being "unique"?. Haters are waiting in their tiny corners for something to criticize.
We all agree that Netflix's marketing strategy was outstanding, which is very good and a step-up from what we've seen in the past.
