Elon Musk plans to remove the “Block” feature on Twitter(“X”)

After popular Billionaire Elon Musk purchased the rights to Twitter, he’s been making changes on the platform frequently. It’s not been over a month since Elon rebranded the Twitter Icon from the iconic “Bird” to an “X” for reasons the world has no answers to except for Elon Himself. Elon Musk plans on changing something else and this particular change is not well received by Twitter users.

X to remove its block feature

Elon Musk just revealed Twitter or X is going to abolish its block feature which allows users Block other users except in the case of DMs. This Information was revealed in a text by Elon replying to the official “Tesla Owners Silicon Valley” Twitter account.

“Is there ever a reason to block vs. mute someone? Give your reasons”.

Elon Musk replied:

“Block is going to be deleted as a ’feature’, except for DMs”

“It makes no sense”

This short tweet(message) has sent shockwaves across social media because removing the block feature might as well send Twitter or X in chaos because that platform has lots of conflicting personalities. The block feature is what’s maintaining some kind of stability.

Elon musk later gave out more detail about removing the block feature. Elon Musk reveals he’s proposing a stronger mute which would consistently hide all posts hence making it easy to continue following an account while blocking their ability to DM you.

Closure

Though it’s not something official, Twitter users are fearsome because Elon Musk has a questionable history with the platform. Elon Musk as of right now hasn’t made any other statements supporting this claim any more or others opposing this idea but time will tell.
