Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Mutant Mayhem is an animated reboot of the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle film series and the 2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Movie. This is going to be the first film after the 2016 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows making fans really excited for this movie. Since its official announcement in 2020, there’s been a lot of information about the film leading up to this point. There’s information on Production , Casting and even the official poster and teaser trailer which can be seen below
Mutant Mayhem is an animated film directed by Jeffrey Rowe, an American writer and film director
responsible for works such as 2012 animated series Gravity Falls, 2018 Disenchantment and 2021 The
Mitchells vs. the machines(co-director). As we all know, the story follows the life of four mutant turtle
brothers called Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael with the goal of being accepted for who and what
they are while opposing crime in New York
The film was first announced in June 2020 by Nickelodeon with Jeffrey Rowe being its director, The Movie is
produced by Canadian actor Seth Aaron Rogen who’s been involved in movies such as 2007 Knocked up, 2009
Funny People, 2011 Green Hornet, 2013 This Is The End,2014 Interview and even 2019 Long shot along with
some voice roles such as Mantis in Kung Fu Panda. He’s been involved in so many shows it’s hard to state
them all. Aside from Seth Regan, other producers are Even Goldberg who worked with Seth Rogen on shows
such as Good Boys, The Interview, This is the End, Superbad and Pineapple Express. James Weaver is
the final producer. Brendan O’Brien is the screenwriter of this movie with past works such being the
writer for 2014 Neighbors
For voice casting, Leonardo will be voiced by Nicolas Cantu, Donatello will be voiced by Micah Abbey, Michelangelo will be voiced by Shamon Brown, Raphael by Brady Noon, Splinter by Jackie Chan, April O’Neil by Ayo Edebiri, Bebop by Seth Rogen, Rocksteady by John Cena, Genghis Frog by Hannibal Buress, Leatherhead by Rose Byrne, superfly(new exclusive character) by Ice Cube, Ray Fillet by Post Malone, Manda Gecko by Paul Rudd, Cynthia Utrom(new exclusive character) by Maya Rudolph, Wingnut by Natasia Demetriou and finally Baxter Stockman as Giancarlo Esposito.
The poster was released by Seth Rogen in 2021 on his Twitter page. In the poster, we see Raphael’s hand holding a skateboard vertically with only two wheels being seen. We can tell its Raphael because of the red arm cloth covering his wrist. There’s a lot of drawing and lots of signatures all over the skateboard and at the bottom we get the title of the animated film which is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. With the first three words in red color and the rest in green. After that, we get the official release date which is 08.4.23

The official trailer has been released and fans have been praising how immaculate the animation looks similar to the popular Arcane. The teaser trailer starts off with the four turtle brothers gliding on a cable with lights , we see Bebop and Rocksteady with a “trailer” text on screen, then later we get Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael talking to someone with “starts” text on screen and finally Leonardo flexing with “Now” text on screen which when combined reads “Trailer Starts Now” then we get the title which is “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Mutant Mayhem” by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon. Fans then get to see New York with a gorgeous artstyle and animation. We have a top shot, a shot at the angle precisely showing a bridge and one showing fans a city block with a woman walking her dog and a moving car all shots at night with text on screen “From Permanent Teenager Seth Rogen”, “A New Generation Of Heroes”, “Will Rise… Straight From The Sewer” after every city shot.
We then see a maintenance cover with “NYC Sewer” written on it then our four heroes come out of it in a beautiful animation sequence. Raphael wielding a sword is being recorded, Michelangelo also being recorded throws a watermelon in the air which get sliced be Raphael on its way to the floor. Donatello is recording using a Smartphone and he’s excited along with Michelangelo. Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael then watch the video and Leonardo just watching in the background with Raphael now asking them to try it again using ninja star instead of a sword Later, Raphael now instead of a Sword uses a ninja star. He aims it at Michelangelo holding a watermelon with Donatello still recording . The watermelon this time has a face and we get to see Donatello recording again with a smartphone and Leonardo looking upset in the back. Raphael hits the target but it goes through the watermelon and causes other damages in the city probably along the road because of Car Sirens. Leonardo is worried but the damage has already been done.
The next shot shows them flexing their weapons along with Master Splinter at home then we get a text on screen reading “This Summer” then Michelangelo breaks through a door with some foes asking “what kind of creatures are they”, we then see Bebop and Rocksteady, a shot of them as kids training and as teens gliding on a cable with lights with some shots of a car chase scene. In addition to that, Michelangelo shoots a Kunai which bounces off various objects and enters Donatello’s leg .He then he asks Leonardo what happened and how it got into his leg. The official title pops up and at the end we get to see April questioning the four brothers and it was very hillurios. The trailer ends with a list of all cast members and finally the release date.
The film was animated in both Montreal Canada and Paris France by Mikros animation with animation production beginning as early as September 2021. This movie will be distributed by Paramount Pictures and will be Nickelodeon and Point Grey Pictures. The film is based on characters created by Kevin Brooks Eastman and Peter Alan Laird who are both the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will release on August 4 2023 in the United States which is a week before The Pope’s Exorcist and with how stunning the animation is along with its immaculate art style, fans truly are excited for this movie
