On November 23 2022, Wednesday series was released on Netflix and it basically took over the world. “Wednesday” is a very popular IP so the series becoming a global success was no surprise. The show had a good storyline and characters who resonated with fans. After the Series’ completion, Season 2 was confirmed shortly after that (January 6, 2023) so Fans just had to wait for the release of Season two. The official teaser trailer for Wednesday Season 2 was just released so this article will highlight on some important details about the upcoming season and what to expect.

Wednesday Season 2 Teaser Trailer Details

Based on the teaser, two main details were on “Addams family” and “Dolls”. Wednesday is seen returning once more to Nevermore Academy and there’s a new mystery that needs to be solved. The teaser emphasized heavily on the Addams family (Wednesday Addams, Morticia Addams, Gomaz Addams, Pugsley Addams, Uncle Fester and Thing). Two lines picked-up from the teaser confirming the importance of the Wednesday family include: “Wednesday Addams: Wherever there’s murder and mayhem, you will always find an Addams” and “Morticia Addams: Every family has dark secrets, Wednesday”. It’s impossible to predict what the storyline will be about so these important details were shared to give an idea.

Another important detail picked up in this trailer is about “Dolls”. There were lots of dolls seen in the teaser trailer and it was mentioned that a doll had human hair. So from the above, it can be speculated that there will be killings involving both dolls and the Addams family. Other returning characters seen in the teaser trailer include Enid, Tyler and Bianca. This upcoming season of Wednesday will feature returning characters and new additions. The cast include Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, Moosa Mustafa as Eugene Ottinger, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort (the new principal of Nevermore Academy), Billie Piper as Capri

Release Date

The most debated information revealed in the teaser trailer was the release date. You see, Wednesday Season 2 will constitute of 8 episode in total and will have two parts. Part 1 will comprise of Episodes 1-4 releasing on August 6th 2025 and Part 2 will comprise of Episodes 5-8 releasing on September 3rd 2025 on Netflix. So far, no reason has been given for the release schedule. The reason this information is debated is because most fans including myself don’t know how to feel about this. It would be better if all episodes were released either on September or on August but those in charge must have valid reasons.

All fans have to do now is wait. The teaser trailer for Wednesday Season 2 has been released meaning its official trailer will be out soon and it is surely going to have more details hence giving the public a better understanding of what to expect
