Ryuki’s Body Possession Jutsu explained(Konoha Shinden: Steam Ninja Scrolls Chapter 13)

Ryuki is a disciple of Hidan and a dedicated follower of the Jashin. He belongs to the Jashin cult and he is greatly impressed with the work of Hidan, you might as well say he admires Hidan. In Konoha- Story : Steam Ninja scroll chapter 12, we found out about Ryuki’s sinister plan not only involving Tatsumi but also other females as well because Mirai exposed him for the fraud he truly is. Today I will talk about Ryuki’s ability giving account of what happened in Konoha Story Steam ninja scrolls chapter 13.
Ryuki Threatens Mirai
Chapter 12 left off with Mirai in a battle against Ryuki’s followers. Mirai learned how to use wind release alongside her ninja blade giving her the edge but Ryuki is still filled with some cheap tricks. This chapter starts off up with Ryuki being desperate. He knows Mirai would easily beat him if he tried anything so he decides to blackmail her. Ryuki threatens to kill his sacrifices if Mira tries anything. Remember, there were other girls that were to be used as sacrifices apart from Tatsumi. He decides to use these females to control Mirai’s action. Mirai is disgusted but she can’t do anything. If she tries anything, Ryuki’s followers would kill the female sacrifices that are under some kind of genjutsu.
Ryuki's Jutsu
Luckily for Mirai, kakashi and Might Guy show up just at the right time. They were able to track Mirai via a ninja hound sent by Kakashi. Kakashi also releases the genjutsu placed on the other females. Mirai now can go ahead and beat Ryuki but on her way, she gets trapped. Ryuki placed a seal on the ground and she stepped on it. He also cut her during their first encounter. Ryuki activates a cursed Jutsu by licking her blood known as the Body Possession Blood while holding a doll. She’s now cursed and can’t move. Ryuki stabs the dolls with Mirai receiving all the impact. He now believes she’s dead
Mirai's Genjutsu Skill
Unfortunately, it was a genjutsu. Mirai casted a genjutsu on him before she had her first encounter or fight with him. Ryuki is in shock and can’t believe it. One of the reasons for this is because he actually tasted her blood but Mirai reveals it was the Spring water rich in Iron. All she had to do was make it look like blood to fool him. Mirai had learned from the archives how Jashin followers tend to use blood as a medium for their jutsu.
Ryuki's Body Possession Blood Jutsu Explained
Cursed Jutsu: Body Possession Blood is basically a forbidden jutsu that gives the user the ability to control the victim. The user can kill and even manipulate the victim to his/her liking. The Jutsu can only be activated when its user has tasted the blood of the victim he plans on using the jutsu on. The user of the jutsu can also decide to use Totems such as dolls to control, manipulate or destroy the victim as he sees fit.
Tatsumi Attacks Mirai
Ryuki out of frustration attacks Mirai but she still has an advantage over him. She’s actually beating him. Out of desperation, Ryuki attacks Tatsumi and wounds her face. He licks her blood activating the Cursed Jutsu: Body Possession Blood. Tatsumi is now under the control of Ryuki and Mirai is at a disadvantage. It was an unexpected turn of events. Tatsumi is now stronger than she was before. Tatsumi attacks Mirai but Mirai won’t go all out because Tatsumi’s her close friend. Mirai pushes her back but Tatsumi is resilient.
Closure
Ryuki might not be an amazing fighter but he definitely possesses some attributes that make him a deadly foe. The Body Possession Jutsu can be very deadly if properly used. Mirai from what we see is also very skilled. She was able to cast a genjutsu on Ryuki even before the real battle took place. She is also very smart and conscious of her whereabouts and opponents. Asuma would be very proud of her.
