Boruto Episode 289 was just released and fans were amazed with how powerful the second cyborg stronger than Jigen is. Boruto is currently adapting the code arc and there's been a lot of major reveals. One of the most important was the existence of cyborgs stronger than Jigen. These cyborgs were believed to be disposed off as Boro was in charge of that but it was revealed he kept some of them hidden. Boruto revealed Eida. In this article, we will talk about the other cyborg said to be stronger than Jigen and an overview of the episode.

The episode begins with Kawaki having a nighmare of being attacked by code. As we are all aware of, kawaki for sometime now hasn't been feeling safe as code can attack the Konoha at any moments since his belts are placed there. Code has an ability to teleport in places his belt has been placed. This makes him swift, travels fast and hard to track him down. Kawaki is worried for Narutos' safety. In the nighmare, we see a younger version of kawaki being strangled by a raging Code.
The second main interaction in this episode was between Amado, Kawaki and Sumire. This takes place after the nightmare. Amado then tells kawaki he's still Isshikis' vessel despite losing his Karma but Kawaki denies because he hates the Karma. Amado goes on insisting Kawaki needs the as he won't be able to protect Naruto and if he can't protect Naruto then he's useless. He goes on talking about how both of them can be discarded at any moment as they are just visitors with emphasis on how he can contruct kawaki another karma. Kawaki out of anger goes out and that's when Sumire starts bombarding Amado with questions about his true motive and gain in giving kawaki another karma but he says its personal
During an interraction with Code and Eida, Eida tells asks Code if he can let Naruto be because she sees how worried kawaki is but Code refuses saying he is a worshipper of isshiki and he can't let Naruto go, they both have a smooth conversation with Eida calling Code her knight.Code then asks Eida if she'll be able to defend herself if Boruto or kawaki decide to attck her. Eida then reveals her other knight, its another cyborg stronger than Jigen, a little kid called "Daemon". Daemon is revealed to be super fast as even Code is not able to see his movements. Daemon is also revealed to be able to reflect attacks onto the attacker. There a lots of anime characters with this ability but what makes this one different is that the ability is passive and the reflection takes place with just negative intent towards him. Meaning the opponent doesn't need to attck, he/she just need to think about attacking for it to be reflected. Code tests this out by trying to place his belts on Daemon but its reflected meaning its highly likely the reflection takes place regardless of killing intent.
Himawari also had moments during this episode as she's seen training. Himawari is currently still in the ninja Academy but still hasn't decided whether to actually become a ninja or not. Himawari also interracts with Kawaki during this episode asking Kawaki to always look after Boruto if he loses himself. Other key moments during this episode was Shikadai and kawaki interraction along with Narutos' interraction with Kawaki. For some reason the character designs of Shikadai and Sumire were swapped to their manga counterpart
The chapter ends with Kawaki realizing he needs karma to protect Naruto even though doesn't like it. This is because wielders of karma get insane stat boosts making then overall more powerful.
