Arcane Season 2 to release on November 2024, what to expect

Two days ago, Netflix dropped a trailer featuring the first look on the upcoming Arcane Season 2. This trailer didn’t have a lot of information but it gave hints to fans. I will talk about the trailer and give some predictions for what to expect in Season 2.

Arcane Season 2 First Look

Developed by Riot Games, the Arcane series became one of the most popular shows in Netflix when season 1 was released (2021). It is currently still popular and there’s so much hype with the reveal of Season 2’s first look. This trailer was trending all over social media immediately after release.

There were two main details about this trailer. Firstly, the trailer featured an injured man who was under recovery. Fans who have followed Season 1 of the show might have an idea about who this man is. I have an idea but I’m not so sure because the trailer featured portions of his face. This man was treating himself and he was weak.

The second information gotten from this trailer was the release date. This is actually more important. Arcane Season 2 will release on November 2024 on Netflix. There’s a lot of excitement because before the release of this recent trailer, the media assumed Arcane Season 2 would take a long time before its release.

Unique animation

If you have no idea, Riot Games CEO Nicolo Lauret said it took six years to develop Arcane Season 1. Arcane compared to other shows is animated different. It has a blend on 2D and 3D (CGI) animation. Arcane uses 3D models with a blend on 2D paint-like textures and some VFX/ tech filter additions. This is why I said its animated differently compared to other shows. It is unique.

What to expect

Arcane Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger. In the final episode, Vi and Jinx reunited and had a heart-to-heart talk. After the tragedy that took place in the first episode, both sisters lost the special connection that once existed. Vi wanted her sister to come back to her but Jinx was too far gone because of what happened in that past. Jinx after losing her second father shot a rocket launcher with the energy of a Hextech gemstone and shot it at Piltover Council. All council members were present at the time so most will proabaly die or be injured. The meeting was about a peace treaty proposed by Joyce. This peace treaty was between Piltover and Zaun but it will not be a success. So in Season 2, there might be a war between Piltover and Zaun. Secondly, the Rocket launcher is going to explode but it will most likely hit Mel first. She might die which will lead to Jayce and Ambessa Metarda (Mels Mom) going after Jinx. Piltover will most likely go after Jinx if Zaun isn’t destroyed. Vi on the other hand would want protect her sister.

Closure

Arcane Season 2 reveals on November 2024 exclusively on Netflix. Season 1 released on November 2021 so it’s going to be approximately a three year difference between the release of Season 1 and Season 2. Season 1 was so good so I’m really excited to see how things turn out in Season 2.
