Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is a popular cooperative RPG that brings together characters from various arcs in the Sword Art Online Universe. Released on October 4 2024, the game has garnered a lot of attention because of its amazing Co-op gameplay, extensive character roster and fan service as it brings together different characters from the anime appealing to fans. Players can team up to 20-player raids to tackle enemies. The game frequently adds brand new characters and items so players don’t eventually become bored overtime or to keeps past and new players active.
Two new character will be part of Character Pass Vol. 2 in Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. Saori Hayami, who is the voice actress of Sachi is coming to Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. It is a crossover between the Sword Art online Anime and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. Sachi is a founding member of the Moonlit Black Cats guild. She made an appearance in Sword Art online Season 1. She was loved by fans at the time because of how unique and “real” her character was. She was very close to Kirito and the bond they both shared was something special. In fact, Sachi’s character was used to develop Kirito even more. Another character Sword Art Online Character making her way to this game is Philia who is voiced by Yui Ishikawa. Unlike Sachi, Philia hasn’t made any appearance in the Sword Art Online anime but sshe’s found in several SAO game titles such as Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, SAO: Lost Song, SAO: Hollow Realization etc.
A trailer was revealed showcasing both Sachi and Philia’s fighting techniques. It has also been confirmed Sachi is going to be a support Type character meanwhile Philia is going to be “Rogue”. Sachi is just one of many additions in character Pass Vol. 2. Character Pass Vol. 2 is going to include two DLCs. These DLCs are Worlds Beyond 3(Adds Philia and Sachi plus new scenarios, costumes and weapons) and Worlds Beyond 4(Introduces Mito and Cat Knight Alice). New features, Adjustments and Fixes were included in the current update(Release patch 1.3.1.0).
In order to access the DLCs, purchase the pass either on PlayStation store or on Steam, download and install the DLCs. There’s been complaints in the fandom about players not accessing DLCs even after purchase which is an issue that needs to be resolved.
Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.
