Dragonball reveals how and why Piccolo got the new Orange transformation (DragonBall super Chapter 95 review/recap)

The Dragon ball manga is currently adapting the super Hero movie so if you’ve watched the movie, you probably
already know what’s going to happen but there’s more information given in the manga. In Chapter 94 featured an intense battle between Piccolo and Gamma 1 in an attempt to save Pan and chapter 95 starts with were 94 obviously left off. Dragon Ball chapter 95 is titled “The ultimate teacher and Pupil”
Krillin, Android 18 and Marron
So this chapter opens with Krillins family returning from a trip to the movie theater. We see Krillin, Android 18 and their beautiful daughter Marron. This part wasn’t in the movie so I was so glad seeing this. Krillin sensed Gohans energy but it was a call from Sergeant Nutz of the police department which set things in motion because they informed him about the location of the Red Ribbon army. Krillin tried getting away from Android 18 but she decided to tag along because they were supposed to go to a restaurant. I absolutely love these kinds of family moments.
Gohan fights Gamma 1
At the lake, the battle between Gamma 1 and Gohan was still taking place. Gohan became stronger getting the upper hand against Gamma 1. Piccolo was happy about using Pan to make her dad stronger. I don’t know if I’d consider that the act of a good guardian or the act of a good friend. Hedo watching his android lose, sent Gamma 2 to assist his other half but Piccolo decided to take on Gamma 2. Gohan is shocked Piccolo is at that location. Piccolo left Pan behind to go fight which is negligent. I know he trust her but he could’ve at least hid her. I love how Piccolo trusts Pan; he sometimes forgets he’s talking to a little kid even though she’s super strong.
Gamma's advantage
Gohan later realizes he doesn’t have the advantage because Gamma 1 is an android and because of this he can operate at full power until his energy is drained. Gamma 1 also revealed he was at 82% at the time during the fight meaning he still had the upper hand despite Gohan beating him up. Piccolo is overpowered by Gamma 2 and saved by Gohan. Piccolo and Gohan try to finish both of them in one go because they are Androids. After the two sets of rivals land a series of blows, Gamma 1 starts wondering if Piccolo and Gohan are actually evil. This machine has finally started reasoning and thinking logically which is good. Gamma 2 being the Android he was created to be dismisses the idea.
Orange Piccolo
They both go for Piccolo but Gohan grapples Gamma 1 separating the conflict once again. This final moments of the chapter focuses on Piccolo and Gamma 2.There’s an argument based on opposing ideologies. Piccolo tells Gamma 2 he’s following idiotic orders but Gamma 2 being the Android he is will follow his master’s order. In fact, Hedo is being fooled by Magenta so Gamma 2 is just the victim. Gamma 2 beat up Piccolo to the point where he almost passes out but Piccolo transforms which is the work of the “extra” given to him by Shenron. This transformation is known as Orange Piccolo
Closure
So I absolutely loved this chapter. I loved that extra detain we got including krillin’s family. I’ve already watched the movie so most of this isn’t new to me but I still loved it nonetheless. I can’t wait to see if other abilities will be given to Orange Piccolo next chapter
