Beat & Motion Chapter 18 is out now and this chapter focuses on how both Nico and Miyu feel about each other after everything that took place in the past. This article will contain major spoilers so to avoid these spoilers, you can click here to read Beat & Motion chapter 18.
The chapter starts off with Nico practicing lines for when she encounters Miyu. This is because of everything they’ve been through in the past. Nico did so by looking at Miyu’s tour poster. This suggests Nico has some sort of guilt about her past relation with Miyu.
Nico has a face-to-face meeting with Miyu which explains the reasons for her action. When Nico heard her song was chosen, she wasn’t happy about it but she felt hesitant. She wants to see her but doesn’t want to see her.
Miyu is seen performing the song at a music studio. Kujo reveals Miyu’s singing is better as opposed to how she sang before. This is because of her past relations with Nico. Miyu would always tell herself she was equals with Nico. She felt Nico was the better musician but she still quit music. When she became pro, Miyu believed it was just luck but the changed overtime. Miyu realized she was a fighter meanwhile Nico was stale. This comparison was made focus when Miyu compared herself to a Tortoise and Nico to a hare but one day realized she was a sleepless hare meanwhile Nico was sleeping all along. Miyu wondered why Nico was sleeping all along and why she’s only waking up recently.
This chapter concluded with Miyu and Nico coming face-to-face with each other in the studio and they both felt very uncomfortable.
Based on the reactions of the girls, their past is going to play an important role in this brand new collaboration. The reactions of both were very understandable along with their feelings towards each other.
