Temari helped Mirai learn her signature Jutsu(Konoha’s story: The Steam Ninja Scrolls Chapter 14)

Konoha’s story: The Steam Ninja Scrolls Chapter 14 has been released. Last chapter, there was a major battle between Mirai and Ryuki but Ryuki controlled Tatsumi with his blood possession jutsu. Mirai and Tatsumi are close and she won’t want to hurt her friend who is being manipulated by Ryuki. Chapter 14 is titled: “The Value of Peace”.

Mirai Vs Tatsumi

This chapter begins with Mirai in a serious fight with Tatsumi. Tatsumi isn’t in control of herself as she’s been taken over by Ryuki’s Blood Possession Jutsu. He’s manipulating her like a doll even though he’s actually holding a doll when he casted the Jutsu. Kakashi and Guy are preoccupied fighting Ryuki’s many followers so they can’t do much. Mirai doesn’t want to hurt Tatsumi and in order to stop her, Mirai has to get Ryuki’s doll to stop Tatsumi from attacking her.

Temari is involved in Mirai's training

We get a flashback from the past. Last chapter, it was confirmed Shikamaru assisted Mirai in learning wind release, manipulating her chakra via her blades. In this flashback, Temari came in at some point during her training with Shikamaru aiming Kamaitachi: Wind Scythe Technique at her. Temari was straight up cold and it hit Mirai. This short interaction with Temari coupled with Shikamaru’s teaching actually did wonders. Mirai is very smart when learning techniques as she’s a prodigy so she shouldn’t be slept on.

I actually love this. This novel was already adapted in the Boruto anime but this detail wasn’t given. In the anime, there wasn’t a flashback involving Shikamaru and even Temari. Mirai knew her moves but they didn’t bother to explain who was responsible and who assisted in teaching her but now we know that which is honestly amazing.

Wind Style: Whirlwind Fist

Fighting Tatsumi, Mirai builds Chakra in her palms, compresses it and tries visualizing Temari’s wind scythe technique. Tatsumi was coming directing. Mirai infused that sensation into her Chakra blades. She uses the pressured wind in her left hand to hit Tatsumi away without the impact of the blades. She now goes for Ryuki using what she learned from Temari and Shikamaru to create a wind technique called Wind Style: Whirlwind Fist with her Chakra blades hitting Ryuki with it leading to his doom. This means Wind style Whirlwind fist is a variant of Temari’s wind scythe technique.

The Reason Behind Ryuji's Actions

Both Kakashi and Guy are impressed with what they saw. Kakashi sees Asuma in Mirai which was just so emotional and beautiful at the same time. Asuma would honestly be so proud of her. Ryuki is beat and he’s weak but he still doesn’t want to give up because of his goal of becoming immortal. He wants be like Hidan. Mirai is puzzled as to why he wants to be like him. Ryuki doesn’t like this era, he would’ve loved to be in Hidan’s time and work Shoulder to shoulder with him. He also says ”This current era is just something tackled on the end of a truly glorious age”. Mirai reveals she thought the same. She always wonders what will become of Shinobi in an age of peace and what their value is to the world. She believes she’ll never become like Naruto or her predecessors.

Ryuki seeing Mirai distracted in thought takes his weapon trying to Kill Tatsumi but Mirai punches in the face without her ninja blades. If she actually used that hit face might come off. At the end of this chapter, according to Kakashi, Ryuki means Dragon but he will never become a Rook

Closure

So this chapter was nice. The Temari flashback was so unexpected but I absolutely loved it. This means both Temari and Shikamaru assisted Mirai making things more wholesome. There were a lot more details added as opposed to what we saw in the Boruto anime. These small details can greatly affect our perception and understanding
