Jinrui-shoku reveals what causes human to Mummy taransformation and Inukai’s powers

Chapter 9 is titled The Former “Boy S” and there’s major information given about Mummily-sans. There’s also a lot of info reveal about Inukai and Seita. Inukai is Sasazuka’s partner. I was supposed to mention that but his name honestly crossed my mind.
Seita reveals himself
Jinrui-shoku: Blight Of Man chapter 9 begins with where chapter 8 left off. Seita was shocked wnhen he first encountered Inukai because he’s never seen a person with so many ghosts haunting them so he figured out Inukai isn’t ordinary.
Inukai asked Seita to come out but Seita was of course reluctant and scared of the man. Inukai decides to scare the kids with a hammer asking Hayato to dodge. Seita finally reveals himself (the third eye appears on Hayato’s forehead). Inukai greets Seita and he’s happy Seita finally showed himself.
Sasazuka gets reintroduced once again and this time, he comes in the bathroom slapping the head of his partner. He did so because his partner ran off on his own even though he’s on probation. Hayato interrupts Sasazuka telling him his partner saved them from the Mummy that attacked them promising to reveal the truth
Rena's Status
Rena was examined at the hospital and once she received permission to go home, the police escorted her. Her Stalker was caught in a violent crime so he was placed under police supervision and transferred to DI Earth for observation.
Sasazuka and Inukai learn the truth
Hayato reveals everything on Sasazuka’s demand. Seita introduces himself (the eye on Hayato’s forehead). Sasazuka is shocked the eye talks which means he’s able to see it. This means there’s a huge possibility the third eye might actually be visible to the naked eye because no one has seen it before this very moment. Sasazuka recalls Seita as Hayato’s friend who was injured.
Seita reveals he entered Hayato’s body the day he was controlled by Hayato’s Mother who was a Mummy at the time and that’s how he ended up like this. Seita also reveals his body was taken over by something else. Hayato and Seita told them everything else that happened after that and they were (well Sasazuka) was shocked.
Cause of the Mummification
It’s now confirmed the human-to-mummy transformations are caused by strange soul-like things entering people’s bodies and the one that moved to Seita’s body came from Hayato’s mom. Inukai thinks what’s happening is very interesting. With Inukai’s remark Hayato asks the officers if they he’s talking crazy. Sasazuka confirms they believe the boys because they can see an eye on Hayato’s forehead that talks.
Tsukiko
Hayato and Sasazuka thank each other. Seita on the other hand is intrigued by Inukai. He believes Inukai can see this like him and Tsukiko. We got a flashback of Seita’s past once more with his sister. In this flashback, Seita is asking Tsukiko why she doesn’t use her powers to become a detective rather than just doing things for money. Tsukiko’s fortune telling powers are no joke. Tsukiko believed society was too dangerous and digging the secrets of others might make a person the target of many. Tsukiko believed people are scary and she’s not some hero but just an ordinary civilian. I believe Tsukiko has the mentality of a real life survivor.
Inukai's powers and Mummily's corruption
Seita thinks Inukai is using his powers to fight crime but Inukai reveals he got pinched for murder when he was young referring to himself as one of the former Boy S and if he helps with investigation, they will release him on parole. This is probably why Sasazuka was upset when Inukai left without saying a thing.
Inukai similar to Seita can see the dead, talk to them and extract information from them. This might be good for murder cases but when he finds someone who died of Mummification, Inukai reveals their souls look worm-eaten, like it was corrupted by something and there’s no usable information
It's revealed the dimension these Mummily originate from, there’s an enormous dark shadow of something inhuman. Inukai believes in order to find out more, they have to remove the entity that’s in Seita’s body for that to be accomplished; they need the help of the boys.
Closure
This chapter ends with Hayato calling up the Tachibana house. Seita( the Mummily) was eating chicken it was going to run away. So there were a lot of developments in this chapter. We got to learn more about the mummily-sans and the character interactions were amazing and the art was on point.
