New Naruto anime special reveals Key visual and Information about its opening and ending theme

Last year commemorated the 20th anniversary of Naruto and this was celebrated with a series of announcements and promotions from late 2022 to early 2023. One of these announcements was the release of 4 new episodes of Naruto in September 2023.

Time has gone by, the Minato One-shot has been released and Boruto manga is expected to continue serialization in August. After a few months, there are finally new updates about the 4 special episodes about Naruto to be released in September. One of such updates is the release of an official key visual. This information was released in the official Naruto website and along with official social media pages dedicated to Naruto

Key Visual

Okay so the first announcement was a key visual. This key visual contains pre-time skip team 7(Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi) in a spatial view of Konoha. Naruto in this poster was doing a Rasengan. The poster was alright but its art has been criticized by part of the fandom for looking to different. It honestly doesn’t feel like OG Naruto. Naruto releasing 20yrs ago was probably a blessing because of how unique its art was. I only hope Pierrot put in a lot of effort to make these four episodes visually stunning and its art appealing or else it won’t appeal to some fans . Here’s the key visual;

Opening and Ending themes

So the second update was about its opening and ending themes. FLOW has been confirmed to perform the opening and ending theme. The opening theme will be FLOW’s “Go” redone as a new 20th anniversary version. This is opening 4 of the original Naruto anime if you don’t know. As for the ending theme, it will cover ORANGE RANGE’s “VivaRock” in a new or updated style. VivaRock is ending three of the original Naruto anime. I know it’s going to be visually stunning but I honestly just can’t wait to see it on the third. “Go” was one of my favorite Naruto openings so I’m absolutely going to love this.

Closure

The four special episodes for the Naruto anime will begin airing in September 3rd at 5:30pm (JST). As of right now we don’t know what its story will be about but it’s definitely going to be a treat to fans and critics of course.
