Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man chapter 15 is titled “God". Similar to chapter 14, this chapter is heavily focused of Tsukiko; Hayato’s twin sister. Last chapter, there was great insight about the life of Tsukiko; regarding how she’s treated in school because of her special gift along with the community. This gave her family (the Urabe family) a certain “stature” in the community. This article will contain major spoilers for Jinrui-Shoku: Blight of Man chapter 15. To avoid spoilers, you can read the chapter by clicking here.
Chapter 15 begins with Tsukiko encountering the lady’s son and his girlfriend. Tsukiko notices he’s already been mummified or he’s already a Mummily. His girlfriend is scared of Tsukiko’s facial reaction. Tsukiko outright tells this woman her son is dead. This is because when these things take control of the human body, it throws out the “soul” of the existing person. Seita was different as his soul went to Hayato’s body because of his special gifts.
Back at the town, this Inukai revealed he’s encountered Tsukiko in past (when she was still a normal 11yr old). This lady is hurt by Tsukiko’s accusation f her son being dead. Her son support her but Tsukiko is still doesn’t respond to him well because she knows what he is. Tsukiko tries to convince this lady but accidently reads her mind. This lady was apparently nice to Tsukiko because she felt bad no one talked to her. Her son openly talks about how the Urabe town hates her along with her family which is true to an extent because though some hate her family, the Urabe family is still highly respected. This lady openly calls out her son but she also doesn’t like dealing with Tsukiko and her family. Tsukiko being able to read minds knew about everything but she was still happy. Though this lady didn’t outright like Tsukiko, she still showed some care for Tsukiko in the past.
The chapter once again pays focus on Hayato and the others at the park. Seita thinks Inukai doesn’t know anything about Tsukiko because he referred to her as a “normal girl”. Tsukiko is referred to as “Kami-san” in her hometown because the people believe she can hear Gods’ voices. Because of her gift, she’s referred to as a God. There was a time Tsukiko told Seita that the God up in space doesn’t grant people wishes so she created a God inside herself to meet people’s expectations. An artificial God made up of peoples wishes that work for the benefit of humans.
This lady’s son tried to attack Tsukiko by using a rock to hit her head but he hit himself instead. As of right now, it’s uncertain if this was 100% Tsukiko because Mummily’s tend to kill themselves but I think it was her influence. Tsukiko didn’t want this Mummily to come closer to her because it’s an enemy of mankind. This woman witnessing everything that happened to her son is in shock and Pain. His girlfriend tries to run away with the excuse of calling the police but Tsukiko stopped her because what was in that lady’s son transferred to the young lady. That was how chapter 15 concluded.
Chapter 16 is setting up a fight between Tsukiko and this Mummily. Tsukiko will get to showcase more her abilities. Tsukiko has showcased psychic powers in the past but this upcoming chapter might showcase other unknown abilities Tsukiko possesses and how well she utilizes her already existing powers.
