Mummily Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man

Last chapter, Tsukiko made the Mummified guy kill himself in an attempt to attack her. This is because his soul had already been lost. She also stopped his Mummified girlfriend who tried to escape the scenery. Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man chapter 16 is titled “True identity”. You can click here to read the new chapter.

Tsukiko's change

With the events of what took place last chapter, this chapter begins with the lady mourning the death of her son and putting the blame on Tsukiko. It must be heartbreaking for her because her son just died brutally. This boys girlfriend has been mummified and notices the changes in Tsukiko emphasizing on how “she’s not the child she was a few moments ago”.

This girl isn’t sure if Tsukiko has a split personality, a soul converted to pure information or if it’s something else entirely. Tsukiko mind reading abilities are once again put to use in this chapter as she’s able to read her opponents thought process.

Tsukiko's complex personality

Mummily Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man

Tsukiko doesn’t have a split personality and she’s also not similar to “them”. When talking to this mummified girl, it was as though another person was talking. Tsukiko made a statement which proved this hypothesis. She said “It seems Tsukiko hasn’t noticed yet but I know you all have been watching us for hundreds of millions of years overlapping perfectly like a shadow”.

This means this species having been watching and taking over earth for hundreds of millions of year. This Mummily confirmed Tsukiko’s say but reveals it’s got her own problems. It doesn’t like this girl’s body and it keeps hearing orders in her head telling it to do things she has no idea about. This thing believes human have a very low intelligence.

Tsukiko's manipulation ability

This girl orders the boy’s mother to kill Tsukiko as a way to get vengeance for her son. This woman instead of attacking Tsukiko goes for this lady instead. This is because Tsukiko used her powers to alter this woman’s perception. This woman thinks she’s attacking Tsukiko but it’s the Mummified lady instead.

Because consciousness is like waves, she added certain vibrations to her own consciousness while observing an opponent giving her the ability to manipulate their ability to recognize things. That’s how Tsukiko manipulated this lady and her Mummified son who tried to attack her. The boy’s mother decide to finish the job by attacking the already injured mummified lady but she’s stopped by Tsukiko who gave her a hug and promises to take revenge for her son.

The Mummily’s homeworld

Mummily Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man

This lady decides to use this opportunity to strike but she sees herself in space or I’d say a mental perception of space. From there, she sees her planet (where she came from). Tsukiko is trying to get the true identity of these things. There was high intelligence and prosperity on this planet leading to unprecedented disaster which brought about challenges, failure and death.

This young lady tries to stop Tsukiko. This projects a huge ray of light which Seita notices even though he’s so far away from her.

Closure

This chapter was absolutely amazing. It brought a lot of information to the table. The Mummily are probably from another planet and they’ve found a way to come to Earth. In Tsukiko’s vision, their civilization was destroyed leading to massive loss of life so it’s unknown how they even found a way to come to Earth. It’s also unknown if they’re humans because the lady made a mockery of the human species.
