Marvel Spider-man 2 was announced some time ago and there’s been a lot of excitement surrounding this game. During the PlayStation live showcase three months ago(precisely June 2023), an official gameplay was revealed and it was so hype, it set the internet ablaze. Everyone was talking about Spider-man 2 at that time. Aside from this official gameplay, a story trailer was revealed featuring the game’s protagonist, antagonists and fraction of its premise So far, not a lot of information has been revealed about this game but bits and pieces are still being revealed.
An update has been released about Marvel Spider-man 2 and though it might not be a major announcement, it’s definitely important. On the official PlayStation website, the official webpage for Marvel Spider-Man 2 was recently updated adding a FAQ (Frequently asked questions) page. This FAQ page answered some questions fans are aware of such as featured Villains in this game but it also gave out a lot of new information about the upcoming Marvel Spider-Man 2.
One of the question in this FAQ was if this game is connected to the stories in the Spider-Verse movies and PlayStation revealed its not directly related although there’s going to be some Easter Eggs in Spider-Man : Across the Spider-Verse which is going to be courtesy of Insomniac games
Another important question was asked which secretly leaked out the accessibility feature of Marvel Spider-Man 2. This website revealed Insomniac Games has devised a range of new and in depth accessibility features to create a Marvel Spider-Man experience without barriers. This website revealed three features for the Upcoming Marvel Spider-Man 2.
The first accessibility feature was on Audio in which "Screen Reader Support" will read aloud all on screen texts in menus.
The second accessibility feature revealed by Play Station was Captions making onscreen captions and audio description available for cinematic screens.
The final and most important accessibility feature was on Gameplay which allows users to be able to slow down the action to 70%, 50% or 30% of the full speed which can be switched back at any time. This game feature was introduced in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart so it’s not entirely new to Insomniac
These three main accessibility features leaked are very impressive and this combined with other features such as Photo Mode is going to be a huge game changer. These accessibility features will also be beneficial to individuals with some disabilities and defects hence there’s great appreciation towards Insomniac’s work.
Marvel Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20 2023 exclusively on the PlayStation 5.
