Bluey fans tend to ask themselves who voices Bluey and Bingo. This has been a common question among fans and the reasoning behind this question makes sense. The person who voices Bluey is never credited and for a popular show such as this, that makes fans a little bit confused. There’s a valid reason why the voices of characters such as Bluey abnd Bingo is kept a secret meanwhile other characters such as Bandit is known to the public.


Why Bluey's Voice Actor is Kept a Secret


The Youngsters in Bluey are voiced by actual kids. According to Ludo Studio, the creators of Bluey and interviews with showrunner Joe Brumm, the reason why the voice actors of youngsters in Blue isn’t made known to the public is because they want their identities protected so they can grow up without pressure or attention. This information was revealed by Kidspot in the past with Melanie Zanetti who is the voice actress of Chilli. Melanie said:

“All the children on the show are members of the family in production. I am so glad that the creative on the show decided that no one would be in the credits to protect the young cast.”


These kids are not professional actors. They’re simply children of the crew and the team chose to prioritize childhood over fame.


Adult Voice Actors


The case of Adult cast members is very different from the kids. They are actually credited. Bandit Heeler is voiced by David McCormack, Chilli Heeler by Melanie Zanetti, Uncle Stripe Heeler by Dan Brumm, Aunt Trixie Heeler by Myf Warhurst, Chris Heeler by Chris Brumm, Grandpa Bob Heeler by Ian McFadyen, Grandad Mort Cattle by Laurie Newman,Pat is voiced by Brad Elliot, Lucky’s Mum is voiced by Anna Daniels, Calypso is voiced by Megan Washing, Brandy by rose Byrne, Wendy is voiced by Beth Durack and/or Emily Taheny, Judo’s Mum is also voiced by Beth Durack and/or Emily Taheny and finally Alfie is voiced by Robert Irwin.

The reason the voice actors of Bluey, Bingo and other small characters is to protect the kids. The creators want the kids to be kids and not celebrities. Bluey is an extremely popular show so keeping the voice actors of the kids private is good for the well-being of those involved.
