Vought Rising is going to be the next spinoff series after Gen V that is going to be part of The Boys Universe. Although the release date of this new series hasn’t been revealed yet, it has been confirmed that Vought Rising is already in production with filming beginning on August 18, 2025. This has created so much excitement among fans of the Boys and Gen V. Vought Rising Release Date


The Boys prequel series, Vought Rising is the next spinoff after Gen V. The Show was announced last year at the SDCC (San-Diego Comic Con). So far, no release date has been revealed so far but there’s some good news. Filming for the show began on August 18, 2025 under the wording title DREAMLAND in Toronto, Canada and Production is expected to wrap on February 27, 2026.

The main cast of the upcoming series include Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Mason Dye as Bombsight, Will Hochman as Torpedo, and Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel. Other characters include Aya Cash as Stormfront, Jordan Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Kiki Layne and Brian J. Smith.

Vought Rising Producers


Eric Kripke and Paul Grellong are going to be the Executive producers of Vought Rising alongside Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.


What is Vought Rising About


A statement was made last year by the creator of The Boys, Eric Kripke and showrunner of Vought Rising Paul Grellong which reads:

“We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys. It’s a twisted murder mystery about the Origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a supe known as Stormfront, who was then going by the name of Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this new salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V”

There’s not a lot of information about this show but the plot is centered on a Murder Mystery in the 1950’s and it also includes the Origins of Soldier Boy and Stormfront. From The Boys, fans can deduce Frederick Vought who is the Founder of Vought International will be involved because he was married to stormfront during that time period. Frederick Vought also created Compound V which is the drug used to create Supes. Fans might get to learn about the Creation of Vought and popularization of Super Heroes in this upcoming Prequel Series.


Closure


No release date has been revealed for Vought Rising because the series is currently in production or filming process. Filming is expected to start from August 18, 2025 and end on February 27, 2026. After production, a trailer will be revealed alongside release date.
