Jinrui-shoku: Blight of man introduces the Eclipse Project

Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man chapter 19 is titled “Eclipse”. Last chapter, Tsukiko learned of the Mummily’s true goal putting her life in danger. The gatekeeper tried to take Tsukiko’s life because of her knowledge but to no avail. Chapter 18 concluded with Rena confronting and the introduction of a brand new character. Seita returns to school

After the events of last chapter, this chapter focuses on Seita. At the Tachibana house, Seita tells his mom (foster mom) Tsukiko is going to come stay with them for some days. She’s going to stay with him for a while. The reasons (for the stay) so far are unknown but it will be explained later on. Ms. Tachibana was under hypnotic control for some time so her memories are hazy.

Seita then heads to school were he’s welcomed by all his classmates. Seita meeting Hayato wanted to inquire about the phone number to his new home which he referred to as a “mansion”. Seita knows about this because he was part of Hayato for some time. The kids in the class also spoke about a new game that’s trending known as “Eclipse”

Reiji Obuse

Last chapter, Rena threatened to expose the dark secrets of some bullies to “hurt” their college admissions later on in the future. These girls were seen begging Rena for mercy. She accepted if they do what she says. Rena believes her dad has been acting different ever since her mom passed away so she wants to “uncover” the truth.

The new character introduced last chapter is Rena’s Physics teacher known as “Reiji Obuse”. Obuse notices dirt on Rena’s desk. This prompts a conversation between the two leading to Rena’s introduction. Obuse is excited finding out Rena is a Hamguchi(Her dad’s in charge of the DI Earth Research Facility). He’s also worried for her because he believes what she’s been through might be too traumatic.

The Eclipse Project

Inukai and Sasazuka are seen interrogating the person who assaulted Rena. He is known as “Haruto Sugawara” and he’s still Mummified. According to Haruto, they were both madly in love and to protect Rena from some weird kid, he took her under his protection in the bathroom but the kid broke down the door and hit him. Inukai listening to this person’s story was able to differentiate between the person and the Mummily talking. Inukai decided to check his subconscious mind to know about his(Haruto’s true) desire. Haruto noticed she was bullied and decided to show his support for her by being on her side with the possibility of them actually falling in love. Inukai tried accessing a deeper part of his subconscious mind but couldn’t and Haruto stopped talking.

This is because half of Haruto’s soul have been infiltrated by the Mummily and Inukai tried accessing that part but unfortunately, the Mummily cut off the transmission from the main body. Inukai forced info out of Haruto but the only thing he said was “Eclipse Project”.

Closure

This chapter concluded with the poster of the upcoming Eclipse game. Though this is just my hypothesis, I think this upcoming game will be a way in which the Mummily will get more control of the Human species. How is impossible to guess right now but we know why they are trying to take over the world. The developers of the Eclipse game might also Mummified or someone on top in regards to the development of the game.
