Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man chapter 28 is titled “Invitation”. In Chapter 27, it was revealed Rika’s boyfriend was a Mummily or Mummified person. He used his hypnotic abilities to control Rika and he also had evil plans for her. This article will contain spoilers for Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man chapter 28 so you can read the chapter here.
This chapter starts off where last chapter concluded. Rika’s boyfriend has been mummified and he was hypnotizing her. He didn’t succeed because Inukai stopped him. Inukai held his neck tight to the point Rika was worried her senpai might die and Inuaki would be sent to prison.
Inukai listened to her demands. Rika confronted her boyfriend after realizing he’s been tricking her to obtain her body. Her senpai believed he wasn’t tricking her because she enjoyed being with him. He felt bad because their relationship didn’t go too deep. He was “looking forward to entering the body of an inexperienced looking girl and experiencing so many firsts”. If you know what he means, you know what he means.
Inukai was actually fascinated by the thought of taking control of another human but he affirms it’s a taboo in the human world because everyone has a human right. Rika’s senpai urged Inukai to let him go because he also has a human right since the Mummily is in a human. Something important happens in this moment. Inukai decides to trap the Mummily found in Rika’s senpai inside a Turkey. The last time Inukai did this, it was to free Seita and the Mummily was trapped in the three-legged Crow.
The Mummily in Rika’s senpai was so scared he invited Inukai to join him and the others. He even told Inukai the others are welcoming and Inukai took this into consideration.
Tsukiko now goes to the same school as Seita. She was introduced in the class and using her psychic powers, she could tell the other kids were so excited to see her. She also fainted for some unknown reason. It’s possible she was on purpose to avoid interaction with the class but that’s just my assumption.
After resting, Tsukiko asked Kaori about the three-legged crow and its revealed Kaori is keeping it while it’s healing up. She’ll eventually give the bird to Inukai once it has fully recovered. Tsukiko urged Kaori to stay away from Inukai. It’s confirmed Tsukiko has encountered Inukai in the past before. Her aunt, who is also her master introduced her to Inukai when she was younger. Based on Tsukiko’s observation in the past, Inukai was reborn through strong determination and he left something very important to being a human in “the other world”. Inukai told Tsukiko he’s achieved his goal in life and he doesn’t care about dying. Tsukiko believed there was an enormous number of spirits which haven’t passed on clinging to Inukai’s soul.
This chapter concluded with Inukai going to DI Earth Research Facility. The most interesting part in this chapter is the end. There’s so much about Inukai that needs to be explained and I can’t wait to see it later on in the manga.
