Grow a Garden was updated on June 28, 2025 and this new update laid emphasis on the Oasis Egg. The Oasis Egg update in Grow a Garden came alongside a number of new pets. These pets include the Meerkat, Sand Snake, Axolotl, Hyacinth Macaw and Fennec Fox. Fennec Fox was one of the most popular among the five pets comprising of the Oasis Egg. This is because of the Fennec Fox’s ability or attributes. This article will give detail on the Fennec Fox in Grow a Garden and also the limitation of this popular pet.


Fennec Fox in Grow a Garden


The Fennec Fox is an Oasis Egg pet that was added to the Summer Harvest update 2025. This pet went viral because of its unique attribute. With a “Divine” classification, the Fennec Fox has the ability to go to another player’s random fruit, has a chance to copy one mutation, and apply that mutation to random fruit you own. This happens after every 22 minutes and 14 seconds. The higher the mutation multiplier, the rarer chance to copy. The ability to collect mutation from other players is very interesting hence why the Fennec Fox is the most popular. As mentioned above, the Fennec Fox has a cooldown time of 22 minutes meaning it goes other player’s garden after every 22 minutes. Despite the above, there are some limitations of the Fennec Fox players should be aware of.


Limitations of the Fennec Fox


Despite the Fennec Fox’s ability to copy mutations, it has some limitations. First the Fennec Fox can fail to collect mutation if the player Garden it is going to collect doesn’t have any new mutations. This is going to be the case of when there are brand new players in a server. If the Fennec Fox goes to a Garden that doesn’t have any mutation at all, it will simply return waiting for cooldown period. In order to solve this, you can simply swap servers choosing servers that has people with enough mutation in their Gardens.

Secondly, just because the Fennec Fox can collect mutations, that doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed. The Fennec Fox has a “Chance” to copy Mutations and also another “chance” to apply that mutation of the fruit in your garden. This simply means the Fennec Fox might try to collect a mutation and fail. Even if it successfully collects another player’s mutation, it can still fail to apply that mutation on a random fruit you own. The goal will be for the Fennec Fox to copy another person’s mutation and successfully apply it to yours.


Closure


The Fennec Fox is going to be a great addition to Grow a Garden regardless of the limitations mentioned above. Compared to the other pets that are part of the Oasis Egg pack, it is definitely the most unique.
