Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man

Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man chapter 38 was released not too long ago. Chapter 38 and chapter 37 is very important to the story because it explains how the Mummily invade Earth emphasizing on what the Eclipse Project is and the process of Mummification through the E-cyclone. You can read Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man chapter 37 by clicking here and chapter 38 by clicking here.

The E-Cyclone Process

Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man chapter 37 is titled “The Light of Life and Death”. This chapter follows the events of chapter 36. Chapter 37 starts off with Obuse explaining how the Mummily has acquired human body. A giant ring appears from above which reflects a light and anyone who sees the light experiences the following process: first the person feels an intense pain as if his/her blood is boiling. Secondly a burning smell fills the nose and then the pain turns into a feeling of pleasant relief just like a relaxed muscle. Once the person no longer feels, something takes place inside your own body(replaces you) and finally, the lost human now watches as his brain does nothing but send signals when memories are written or accessed. It’s at that moment the human loses his life and the Mummily takes over.

E-Cyclne Process Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man

This process is known as the “E-cyclone”. According to Obuse, even if a Mummily has been mummified in the past, the Mummily will gradually be restored back to normal by simply eating food. As for choosing which human each Mummily gets, Obuse has designed a way to match the Mummily with their target humans and also install the software necessary to control their behavior.

The final stage in this process is the “Eclipse Project” which is a video game that brainwashes anyone who plays the game. Once a human gets the game, they are hypnotized through its story which convinces them to “support the goddess of the moon and fight against Earth’s invaders”.

At Rena’s place, its night time and Inukai asks Rena to tie him up. This is because when Inukai is asleep, something else takes over him so he asked Rena to tie him up so she would be safe. The following morning, Rena saw the advertisement for the “Superstring Eclipse game”. She downloaded the game. Chapter 37 concludes with Tsukiko telling the others the Mummily’s souls have gotten active meanwhile the E-cyclone process takes place alongside the Eclipse Project.

Mummily's love Earth

Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man chapter 38 is titled “Where They Are Being Led”. This chapter begins with two mummified humans talking about Earth. They are both female and Tsukiko has fought one of these ladies in the past. They were talking about how good food in Earth is because it actually has taste instead of capsules that just give nutrients. They also spoke about “God and Prayers”.

Although one was worried about humans having a perception of “God” out of nowhere, the other lady talked about how the belief in ‘God” can be used against humans to manipulate them. This can be seen in the Eclipse game.

The Ring Appears

The Ring Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man

The Eclipse Game is used to get humans under the ring so the mummification takes place. This can be seen as Rena was seen leaving the house because that’s what the game ordered. The giant ring didn’t only appear in a single location but in several locations across the globe such as the US, Canada, England, France and Italy. Tsukiko and Seita immediately got a sensation after lots of human souls were lost. Tsukiko heard a voice and when she checked the game description, she discovered her master was in the game.

Mummily Hypnosis Jinrui-shoku: Blight of Man

Inukai stopped Rena from going out by tying her up. Rena later came to her senses were Inukai explained everything that took place when she was hypnotized. There was a journalist who was reporting the situation about the “Ring” but she was brainwashed to say it is a “natural phenomenon”. Before this journalist was brainwashed, she spoke about how the ring vanished the surrounding area had the odor of something that just got burnt. This chapter concluded with Tsukiko and the others realizing the Mummily has taken over a considerable amount of people in the city.

Closure

The Mummily invasion of Earth has begun but it’s uncertain how things will turn out. It will be interesting to see if human souls can be returned to their original bodies after it has been inhabited by a Mummily.
