Ryu and Matsuri Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 16 has been released. This chapter was dialogue heavy but a lot of important details was made known making the chapter interesting. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is titled the “Singularity of Fate”. The events of this chapter takes place after chapter 15 which highlighted on how Ryu came to be. How Boruto Learned Flying Raijin


Chapter 16 begins with Kashin Koji training Boruto. Koji has a shinjutsu ability known as “Prescience” were he can see different possibilities of the future. In six years into the future, Boruto learns how to use Space time Ninjutsu perfectly alongside a variation (copycat version) of Flying Raijin Jutsu. Koji could see the future so he just had to teach Boruto. Boruto’s Flying Raijin is different from Minato.

Boruto translocate's via sensing chakra through metal objects (Metal objects are the most suitable for chakra marking). Boruto can easily translocate with an object marked by chakra within his range of vision. It becomes complex if he marks two similar objects that isn’t within in range of vision. Koji recommended marking different types of metal objects having distinct shapes with each representing a symbol. Then visualizing the symbol to accurately transport meaning Boruto needs to frequently prepare several types of metal objects marked with chakra.


Koji's "Prescience" ability


Boruto asked Koji why he doesn’t reveal everything he known about the future (good and bad). This is because whenever Koji informs someone about the future, the nature of the future will automatically change. Once someone is aware of what happens in the future, the person no longer acts the same way and the future branches off in complex ways.


singularity of Fate


Koji emphasized on how knowing the future basically destroys that possibility and the more futures a person knows, the greater that person diverges from the track called “Fate” becoming a “Singularity” (A Heretical existence which makes the future unstable). It’s advisable for people to not know the future and the duty of singularity of fate is to aid the paths to good futures from the shadows. The singularity of fate include Koji, Boruto and Eida because she’s aware.

Sumire and Sarada


There was a conversation between Sarada, Sumire and Eida. Sarada and Sumire were worried about Boruto so Eida was how they got their information. They spoke about whether they should find Boruto with Sumire emphasizing on how Boruto might not want to be found. Sumire also revealed she was upset when Sarada hugged Boruto. This is because Sarada is well aware of how she feels for boruto. It was an intense conversation which might come into play in the future. We also see Konoha elders talking to what is most likely a feudal lord (Lord Daimyo) about Boruto’s escape.


Shikamaru, Eida and Koji


Shikamaru also spoke with Eida about events taking place. Eida informed Shikamaru about what transpired in Sunakagure and how Ryu came into existence. She also confirmed Gaara’s safety because he has been sealed away. Eida will no longer view the Divine trees in real time because she’s noticed one of the would frequently look into her eyes when she’s watching making her extremely uncomfortable. Eida let shikamaru know she is aware of the escape but has no plans on reporting him. Shikamaru also got to realize Koji was assisting Boruto. Koji via his toad told Shikamaru to send Konohamaru, Sarada and Mitsuki on a mission to the land of wind emphasizing on how they might encounter Ryu or Matsuri.

Koji also advised Shikamaru to not let Himawari outside Konoha because Jura would kill her. Its revealed Jura hold Konoha’s cultural value at a high esteem so he wouldn’t wage war within Konoha. Koji told Shikamaru to notify everyone to treat him (Jura) as an ordinary customer in case he visits a bookstore. The emphasis is to not provoke Jura. Chapter 16 concluded with Konohamaru, Sarada, Mitsuki, Araya and Yodo encountering Matsuri and Ryu in the Land of wind.


Closure


This chapter revealed how Boruto leaned Flying Raijin although it’s different. More details about Koji’s foresight ability was highlighted which will be very important in the future considering Koji now plays an important part of the storyline.
