Boruto almost dies

Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 23 is currently out. Chapter 23 is titled “The Strong” and it gives more detail to the Boruto/Jura fight that began in Chapter 22. A highlight of Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 22 was the weakness of Boruto’s Flying Raijin jutsu. Boruto is going up against one of the toughest opponents he has ever faced and Kashin Koji does not see Boruto coming out of the fight alive. Konohamaru And Mitsuki


Chapter 23 begins with Konohamru reuniting with Mitsuki. Konohmaru informed Mitsuki about how Boruto saved his life. Konohamaru would’ve died in Matsuri’s hands if Boruto didn’t save his life. This was confirmed by Koji “Prescience” ability that gives him the ability to see different possibility or occurrences in the future. Mitsuki opted to go help Boruto but Konohamaru declined saying the mission is the “secure the Thorn Bulbs”. Boruto told Mitsuki and Konohamru to go to a precise location. Both of them had no idea why that location was chosen but other alternatives were not available at the time.


Jura Attacks Boruto


Jura attacked Boruto head-on shooting bijuu bombs at him. Boruto managed to evade some of his attacks and even cut off one of his feet but the attack similar to past moves (for instance the Rasengan Uzuhiko) seemed pointless. Purple Lightning didn’t also have an effect on him.


Boruto Almost Dies


Jura attacked Boruto once more but this time Boruto had no chance. Jura easily overpowered Boruto to the point Boruto was unconscious. Eida couldn’t watch because it was heartbreaking to see Boruto in such a state. She didn’t want to see how Boruto dies but Koji stopped her from talking because he was getting an “update”. Koji didn’t have a vision in six days. Koji already predicted Boruto’s death because of his “Prescience” ability. An unconscious Boruto was on the ground and he was almost died. Jura came closer to check if he was still breathing. Boruto was “slightly” alive so Jura flew above him with the foal of finishing him with a bijuu bomb.


"Prescience" Altered


Fortunately for Boruto, Kawaki attacked Jura. This was Koji’s "Prescience update". Koji didn’t see Kawaki going up against Jura. A rod appeared in Jura’s head removing his eyes but that wasn’t enough to kill him. Konohamaru and Mitsuki waiting in that location met Delta. Kawaki fought Jura for a brief period and later on arrived at Boruto’s location asking Boruto to wake up. Boruto said Kawaki was “late” means it was most likely a plan. That’s how chapter 23 concluded.


Closure


Boruto almost died this chapter but he survived. Kawaki saving Boruto was unexpected and Delta coming to the battlefield was also something that wasn’t expected. Kawaki will most likely face off against Jura next chapter so it will be interesting to see how everything turns out. Another important detail revealed in this chapter is that Koji “Prescience” ability automatically happens without consent. Meaning Koji can see possibilities of the future but he can’t control when he wants to see it.
