(EWCF), where national teams will compete against each other across multiple titles. The event is set to debut in 2026 with the aim of connecting gamers across the entire World. What is the Esports Nations Cup?
The Esports World Cup Foundation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has announced the Esports Nations Cup (ENC). This is a tournament where the best esport players will not only compete for professional glory but also as representatives for their national countries with the goal of introducing national pride. The CEO of Esports World Cup Foundation Robert Reichert said this in regards to Esports Nations Cup:
“Nation Versus nation competition is the ultimate expression of sport. The ENC makes this a reality for esports, giving every fan a flag to rally behind and every player the pride of representing their country. It’s a stage to create heroes, inspire the next generation, and, together with our partners and stakeholders, build the national ecosystems that will accelerate the growth of esports worldwide”
When and Where does the Esport Nations Cup take place?
The Esports Nations Cup will debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in November 2026. The Esports Nations Cup will be hosted every two years after its debut. This is to provide players, coaches and esports organizations a dependable structure which creates confidence in long-term investment by publishers and partners in national team programs. The rotating host model is going to be used meaning host centers will be moved from one location to another with the goal of bringing together fans and cultures worldwide.
Esport Nations Cup Team and Format
The Esport Nations Cup will feature national teams from all major regions, including North America, South America, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Asia, Africa, South East Asia & Oceania. All national teams will compete in both team-based and solo-player formats. It is also revealed a multilayered qualification model will be used to balance competitiveness and inclusivity. What this means is qualification will be based on global rankings, regional qualifiers and wildcard entries to ensure a road and representative competitive stage in every game.
Esport Nations Cup Prize Pool
All players are will receive a guaranteed prize money, with equal placement rewards across all games with the aim of ensuring fairness. The prize pool will be revealed during the period of the tournament (November 2026) or around that time period.
Where to Watch the Esports Nations Cup
The Esports World Cup Foundation hasn’t revealed any official streaming platforms for the Nations cup. Past Esports World Cup events have been streamed on YouTube, Twitch and also on official Esports World Cup Social Media channels. The Esports Nations Cup might follow a similar format.

The Esports Nations Cup matters because the idea behind it is unique and interesting. Players working as a team or solo representing a Country might give esports more attention.
