X is working on PiP (Picture-in-Picture) for video and Audio calls

If you have no idea, X also known as Twitter has a feature enabling users to do video and audio calls. As of right now, this feature is available only on IOS but it will be available on Android devices soon via and update Patch.


Limitations and restrictions to this feature


Only premium or premium+ users have access to this feature and even though all accounts are able to receive calls, there are some restrictions. First by default, users can receive calls from accounts they follow and you can call users if and only if you’ve messaged them directly before in the past.


Picture-in-Picture


X is currently working on a Pip (Picture-in-Picture) for Video and Audio calls. Picture-in-Picture is a multitasking feature which give users the ability to shrink a video into a smaller unit or player so they can keep watching while carrying out other activities on their devices. This information was revealed by @aaronp613 and along with it was a video which serves as proof so his claim will not be dismissed. The proof is just a confirmation he isn’t lying though past info revealed by this guy has been consistent.

This wasn’t the only information revealed related to X. X is also working on a feature which lets you refresh your timeline by clicking on the home icon. Users usually swipe down to refresh so this will make things easier.


Features in X's new Android Update


-X Premium+ and Basic tiers as of the moment have launched on Android for brand new subscribers though Premium subscribers can’t upgrade yet. To know about the benefits of each subscription tier, you can click here. Other features in X’s recent Android update;

-Videos can now be long pressed regardless of the autoplay options

-Subtitles are now available on the video player and can be either turned on or off (it’s optional)

-Lists now refresh when users navigate through them.


Features in X's new IOS Update


The brand new IOS update is also out now and;

-Users can now sort pinned community timelines on home screen

-Users can now sort pinned community detail timelines by most liked

-Non-community members can now like and bookmark community posts

-Show a preview while loading into a broadcast

-Share playback speeds between tweets and broadcasts

-Broadcast deeplinks now load faster

-Allow sharing of similar post timelines.


Closure


Both updates for Android and IOS has its own benefits. With the recent IOS update, X will now let users sort community posts by Most liked, most recent and Trending which is going to be really beneficial for IOS users when sorting out community posts.
