PEAK is a co-op game where players use “Scouts”, work as a team in order to climb a mountain while overcoming challenges with the aim of getting to the top. The game was a huge success because of how good and engaging it is. The game’s online mode supports up to four players and it has a single player offline mode. The game is centered on Mountain climbing so lots of fans tend to wonder how many Mountains are in the game. This article is going to touch on that subject.


PEAK game Mountains or Levels


PEAK is centered on Mountain climbing and as such there are several mountains or levels in the game. Mountain/Biomes and Levels can be used interchangeably because each mountain is a level on its own. There are five mountain or Biomes in PEAK. These include The Shore (Level 1), The Tropics (Level 2), The Alpine (Level 3), The Caldera (Level 4), The Kiln (Level 5) and Mesa (new update and Level 6).


The Shore


The Shore is the first Mountain or Biome in PEAK (Level 1). This is a Beach intro meaning when players start at the game, they begin at the shore. This is where players learn about the tutorials of the game and easily test out what they have learnt. Important essentials such s Rope Canon and campfires are introduced in this mountain or biome in the game. The Shore is a calm coastline and hazards here include poisonous plants, jellyfish and collapsing bridges.


The Tropics


This is the second level or Mountain in the game. After the Shore, players get to the Tropics which is essentially a Jungle Maze. It is much more difficult to navigate. This is because the tropics is a dense jungle that has rain, vines, toxic plants or flora , bee swarms and even maze-like ascents. Bad weather conditions such as rain makes it difficult to climb especially when vines are involved


Alpine


The Alpine is the third Biome or Mountain in PEAK. The Alpine in this game can also be referred to as Frozen Heights. The terrain here is basically snow with hazards such as blizzards, Frostbite risk and slippery ice. Shelter and lanterns are also essential in this terrain for survival.

The Caldera


The Caldera is the fourth level or Mountain in PEAK. It is harder than the other three and has a much more volcanic terrain. Compared to the other biomes, resources are much scarcer and the landscape is filled with lava. Players would need to be extremely in this terrain to avoid being burnt by lava or fire.


The Kiln


This is the fifth and final level or Mountain in PEAK. The Kiln is the Volcanic Interior or the Summit. Players will need to climb to the top of the volcano with little to no rest and resources. After climbing to the summit, player get to call the rescue helicopter


Mesa Biome


This is a new level or Mountain that was recently added to the game. The Mesa biome is a Desert. It is extremely difficult compared to the other 5. It includes cliffs, canyons, dunes, challenges related to heat and even mirages. The Sunscreen item was added in this updates because of how heat can affect a scout. New challenges added in this include the Antillon Badge challenge and Needlepoint Badge challenge.


Closure


Mesa Mountain is the most recent update and the hardest out of all of them. Mesa is an update so when the game was released, it simply had 5 levels or Mountains required to complete the game. Updates are good regardless because it keeps engagement especially because PEAK is primarily an online multiplayer game.
