Boruto Byakugan Reveal in Two Blue Vortex Goes Against the Jogan

Boruto Byakugan vs Jogan

Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29 is titled “Pest Control”. The chapter reveals details of Boruto's deal with Momoshiki, Mamushi’s attack on Konoha, and Lord Kobu’s interrogation. The main highlight of this chapter was Boruto using his Byakugan and that has made a lot of Boruto fans confused because the Jogan hasn’t been mentioned in the manga since it was created. Momoshiki Accepts Boruto's Deal


Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29 is titled “Pest Control”. The chapter begins with Momoshiki’s deal with Boruto. After Momoshiki saved Boruto, the Karma extraction process was incomplete meaning Momoshiki could no longer take control Boruto. However, Boruto promised to give Momoshiki his freedom if Momoshiki assists him in defeating Jura and the other Humanoid Divine Trees. Momoshiki accepted Boruto offer but Boruto warned him about Kawaki. Momoshiki believes he can defeat Kawaki if he gets his freedom.


Boruto Uses the Byakugan


When Boruto was using Karma against Mamushi clones, he awakened the Byakugan and used it to fight. There was a lot of discussion about that panel with fans emphasizing on whether the Jogan is real or not. During the first episode of Boruto, we see Boruto fighting against Kawaki and Botuto awakens the Jogan. The issue now is Boruto has never awakened the Jogan in the manga or the Manga has never made mention of the Jogan. On the other hand, the manga has made mention of the Byakugan just like in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29. Some Boruto fans believe the Jogan might be anime only.

The Boruto anime is unique because of its extra content usually referred to as anime canon material. Because of Anime canon arcs in the manga, there are some big differences between what happens in the manga and in the anime. An example of this is Sarada, although the anime follows the manga when it comes to Sarada. Sarada in the anime is like a completely different person from Sarada in the manga adaptation. There’s a possibility the anime will give Boruto the Jogan even though he doesn’t get it in the manga.

Other Abilities Boruto used against Mamushi


Aside from the Byakugan and Karma, Boruto used Flying Raijin Jutsu and also Rasengan to defeat Mamushi. Kawaki also attacked Mamushi but at a different location. They could easily track down Mamushi because of Inojins Mind Transmission Formation Jutsu. During Kawaki’s fight, it was revealed that Mamushi’s clones could fly. It’s currently uncertain if all of them can fly but the clones that fought against Kawaki could fly.


Himawari uses Kurama's power


Shikadai, ChoCho and Himawari also fought against some Mamushi clones. Himawari could use Kurama’s powers a little although she doesn’t have full control over it.


Lord Kobu's interrogation


The main interaction during this chapter was the interrogation (questioning) by Lord Kobu about how Boruto escaped Konoha. This questioning has been going on for at least 3 chapter now. After learning about all the facts. Kobu decided that it was Mitsuki who let Boruto escape in the past. Although Lord Kobu is right, Konohamaru couldn’t let Mitsuki be blamed because it would be linked the Shikamaru leading to his removal as temporary Hokage. The crux of the questioning was how Boruto was able to remove cuffs that suppressed Jutsu abilities. Konohamaru said he forgot to lock the handcuffs on Boruto hence the reason Boruto escaped. Lord Kobu knew Konohamaru wasn’t telling the truth but he couldn’t do anything.


Kashin Koji


Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29 concluded with Shikadai, Chocho, and Himawari stopping some Claw Grimes clones. Inojin was busy cheering them on but there was a gesture on Kashin Koji’s face suggesting something bad is going to happen. Kashin Koji can see the future with his “Prescience” ability so Koji gloomy face means something bad will eventually happens.


Closure


Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29 revealed more info about Mamushi abilities. Mamushi cloning ability was well known but now it’s been revealed the clones can fly to an extent. With the reveal of the Byakugan once more, fans are becoming disheartened about the possibility of the Jogan. Even though it’s never revealed in the manga, there’s still a huge possibility it might show up in the anime.
