The Headquarters (HQ) in Last War: Survival Game is the most important building in your base because it controls almost every aspect of progression. Your HQ determines which buildings you can upgrade, how far your heroes can level, and how powerful your overall base can become. For a long time now, HQ 30 was the maximum level player’s could reach but that changed in Season 2. Season 2 introduced the Age of Oil and developers expanded base progression by adding Headquarters level 31 to 35. These new levels raised the power ceiling in the game while introducing new requirements. This article is going focus on Last War HQ 31 requirements with emphasis on what to unlock to get there.


What is HQ 31 in Last War: Survival Game


The Headquarters building is like the core command center of your base in Last War: Survival. Its level directly affects building caps, hero limits, and tech progression. If you don’t upgrade your HQ then other buildings and research paths will remain unlocked, which makes the HQ the most important structure for long term growth in the game. HQ 31 is the first Headquarters level beyond the original level 30 cap and it represents the beginning of true endgame progression. HQ 31 also becomes available when Season 2’s Age of Oil system is unlocked.

Moving to HQ 31 requires new research paths and a new resource making it a major milestone rather than a simple level increase. I also want to add that reaching HQ 31 gives a number of benefits. One of the biggest advantages or is a higher hero level cap which allows heroes to progress beyond level 150. Players in this level can also gain improved rewards from Reindeer Trucks, which includes access to weapon shards and this is critical for late game combat.


Prerequisites Before you can Unlock HQ 31


There are some requirements you must meet before you attempt to upgrade to HQ 31. The first requirement is reaching Headquarters Level 30, because it acts like the foundation for Season 2 progression. This essentially suggests that without HQ 30, none of the systems tied to the age of Oil will be available. Secondly, Last War players must complete a special research called “HQ Expansion” and this is found within the Age of Oil technology tree. Tis research doesn’t unlock automatically so you must have sufficient progress in your tech tree(Tech Center upgraded to level 30) before the research becomes available. It’s impossible for you to reach Level 31 without completing HQ Expansion.

Aside from the above, several key buildings must be upgraded to Level 30. These include the Tech Center which supports advanced research and the Barracks which is essential for troop development. You must also have at least one troop center (Tank, Aircraft, or Missile Center) upgraded to level 30. Finally, players must start producing Oil which is a new resource introduced in Last War’s Age of Oil. Oil is obtained through Oil wells, events, secrets tanks, and special rewards. Oil is also considered one of the most difficult resource to accumulate in the game.



Resource Requirements For HQ 31


Upgrading to Headquarters Level 31 in Last War: Survival requires a massive investment in resources making it one of the most expensive upgrades in the game so far. The approximate resource costs for HQ 31 include 1.6 billion Iron, 1.6 billon food, 510 coins, and roughly around 1.44 million Oil. These numbers may vary slightly depending on your technology bonuses, alliance buffs, and event modifiers, but they give a realistic picture of the resources required to get to Level 31.

Players must also prepare for long construction times. Most Last War Commanders rely heavily on speedups, construction buffs, and alliance to help make the upgrade manageable. Oil is one of the most important resource but it’s also one of the hardest to farm when compared to other resources in the game so Oil management can delay HQ 31 for weeks even if you have all other requirements.


Tips to Reach HQ 31 Faster


One of the most important strategies is to prioritize only buildings required for the HQ upgrade such as Town Center, the Barracks, and One troop center. Spending Oil on non-essential structures can slow down your progress. Secondly, Oil production should be treated as a top priority. This suggests that players should maximize Oil Wells, collect Oil consistently and focus on special tasks or events that provide you with Oil. Oil is very limited when compared to food and Iron so you need to prioritize it. You should also plan your technology early especially in the Age of Oil tree. This enables faster progression toward the HQ Expansion research as soon as it becomes available. Finally, you should be part of an alliance that supports you, especially in resource assistance and construction speed buffs.


What Happens After HQ 31


Once you reach HQ 31, you unlock access to the next stage of endgame progression in Last War: Survival. Players can begin preparing for HQ Levels 32 -35 and each of these levels requires higher building levels, a more advanced research, and a larger amount of Oil. Each HQ Level after 31 provides meaningful benefits including higher hero level caps, a stronger base power, and improved March sizes.
