What is VIP Time in Kingshot and How Does It Work

VIP Time in Kingshot is an activation system that lets players use the bonuses tied to their VIP Level. I know people who believe that earning VIP XP automatically unlocks VIP rewards but that’s not how it works in Kingshot. You can reach a high VIP level but you will still need to activate VIP time before receiving bonuses. These bonuses can include faster construction, increased resource production, an extra march capacity, daily VIP gifts and more. This article is going to explain how VIP Time works, how to activate it, whether it’s worth spending gems on and how to use it.
What is VIP Time in Kingshot and Its Main Benefits?
VIP Time is a temporary activation period that enables all the bonuses linked to your current VIP level. It’s like turning your VIP rewards on. If you do not have an active VIP Time, your VIP level will still be part of your account but the bonuses you are supposed to receive will stay inactive(unless you decide to reactivate your VIP Time).
Once you activate VIP Time, you will get some temporary bonuses which includes:
- Faster Construction Speed
- Faster Research Speed
- An Increased Resource Production
- Additional March or Queue Capacity
- Daily VIP Gifts
- Better Bonuses as your VIP Level Increases
It’s not good to activate VIP Time when you’re too new in the game because lower VIP levels will give you small bonuses. It’s recommended to wait to until your VIP Level is at least VIP 4 before activating it so your bonus is actually noticeable.
What is the VIP System in Kingshot
The VIP system in Kingshot is made up of two separate systems that work together.
VIP Levels
VIP Levels represent your overall progression. As you collect VIP XP in the game, your VIP Level will increase and this will unlock stronger bonuses and rewards
VIP Time
VIP Time is what activates those rewrads you get from upgrading your VIP Level. This means your VIP XP increases your VIP Level and your VIP Time lets you use bonuses from that level. For instance if you reach VIP 5(your VIP Level) but your VIP Time expires, you will still be in VIP 5 but bonuses like construction speed , extra marches and daily gifts will stop until VIP Time is activated again. This just means need to frequently open your VIP menu to check your VIP time status.
How You Gain VIP Levels and VIP XP
There are several sources of VIP XP in Kingshot which include;
Alliance shops or Alliance Rewards: The Alliance shop sometimes sells VIP XP of offer them as rewards so always try participating in alliance tasks or events.
Paid Packs: Some paid packs include VIP XP or VIP points as part of their content. Getting these premium packs helps level VIP more quickly. Special Events can also sometimes include VIP XP milestones or bonus VIP XP rewards so kingshot players should try getting involved in events to accelerate their VIP level.
Spending Gems: Finally, you can directly spend gems to activate VIP time or to buy VIP XP in some cases.

Lots of Kingshot players refer to VIP level 4 as the first sweet spot where perks become very useful. As you eventually climb higher, the XP needed increases a lot making VIP leveling expensive in terms of time and gem spent. There are suggestions of even stopping at VIP 6 or 7 if you have enough investment elsewhere unless you really need high level perks in Kingshot.
How VIP Time Works in Kingshot
VIP Time is what activates the bonuses that’s ties to your current VIP level. You can earn a lot of VIP XP to reach a high VIP level but your benefits won’t be active until you turn on VIP Time. You can check your current VIP status by opening your player profile on the top left corner of the main screen and tap the VIP button. When you do this, you will see:
- Your Current VIP Level
- Whether VIP Time is active or not
- How Much time is remaining before your VIP Time expires
- The bonuses available at your current VIP Level
How to Activate VIP Time in Kingshot
To activate VIP Time ion Kinghsot:
- Open Your Player Profile from the Main screen
- Tap the VIP Menu
- Press the Activate VIP button
- Choose the activation period you want (it can be 1 day, 7, 7, 30 etc.). It depends on you
- Confirm the purchase using gems or a VIP item(if you have one)
After confirming, your VIP bonuses will immediately become active. It’s good to make sure that you have buildings to upgrade or even troops to train before activating your VIP Time. This is to ensure that you get all the benefits of VIP Time.
Does VIP Time Stack
The answer is yes. If you activate more VIP Time before your current timer expires, the remaining time is added to your existing VIP Time instead of replacing it. This means if you have only 5 days left and you activate VIP Time for another 30 days, you get it for 35 days overall. It’s honestly really convenient.
What Happens When Your VIP Time Expires
Once your VIP Time expires or runs out, all your bonuses will become inactive. Your VIP level and VIP XP will not change so it’s just benefits that go away. If you are playing Kingshot and you notice that your construction speed or other bonuses disappear, you can check your VIP menu to see if your VIP Time expired.

Which VIP Level Should You Aim For
Even though you will unlock stronger bonuses as you level up in Kingshot, it’s good that you should focus on a few important milestones. These milestones include:
- VIP 4: This is the first level worth activating VIP Time because it gives you the 10% construction speed bonus and this is good for your upgrades
- VIP 6: This should be another aim of yours because it unlocks extra march Queue which allows you to gather resources while participating in rallies and events.
- VIP 8: If you want frequent daily VIP rewards including those related to Mythic Hero rewards, this VIP level should be an aim of yours
F2P vs. Paying-player considerations (Is VIP worth it)
VIP can be worth it but timing and how you buy it matter a lot more than simply having VIP XP or Points.
F2P (Free-to-play): In F2P, don’t rush to activate VIP Time. It is recommended to wait until you reach a certain level (at least VIP 4) because early levels give small perks while activation cost is high. VIP 4 is better than VIP 1, 2 and 3 because it gives a 10% construction speed bonus which makes activation meaningful for progression. In order to reach it without paying, use daily reward logins, event VIP drops, alliance shop offers and occasional free VIP XP from packs and events.
Paying Players: In this case, buy VIP via value packs and not raw time. Packs that include a 30-day VIP boost are more valuable than buying VIP time directly. If you spend, pushing to get VIP 8 should be your goal but expect to get diminishing returns past high levels.
If you can’t reach VIP 4 quickly by free XP, you can save gems and pick a pack that includes a 30-day VIP boost during events for better ROI and less waste.
Tips to Make the Most of VIP Time
You need to activate VIP Time strategically. Don’t just activate it as soon as you get it but until you’re already building, upgrading and farming. Turn it on during events, resource farming sprees, or when construction or research queues as full to maximize its duration and rewards. Combine your VIP Time with temporary speed-ups, alliance buffs, and event bonuses so every minute of active VIP boosts yield maximum value and finally, you can earn VIP XP without spending a lot by logging in daily, joining an active alliance, and complete daily missions and limited events that drop VIP XP.
Common Mistakes to Avoid and What to Watch Out For
The first mistake most Kingsot players make is activating VIP Time too early. Many players waste VIP hours by turning it on when idle or without enough resources to upgrade or train troops. It’s always good to plan your sessions before activating VIP Time. Secondly, some Kingshot players ignore daily missions which is bad because skipping daily or alliance missions means missing free VIP XP and points that build up over time. Overspending on or Buying VIP XP every time its available drains gems quickly so it’s good to wait for discount bundles or event shops. Finally, a common mistake some kingshot players make is forgetting to renew VIP Time. VIP Bonuses stop immediately after expiry so always check your timer.

VIP Time in Kingshot offers valuable boosts especially when it’s used smartly. Wait until your VIP level is meaningful and activate it when you’re actively using buffs, and stacks with events and daily play. With proper planning, even F2P players can get great returns without wasting gems.
