alliance can build. This is because the Alliance HQ acts as the main base of your group, it helps control territory on the game map, and it also unlocks special alliance perks that benefit every member. When the Alliance HQ is built and upgraded, your alliance can gather resources faster and defend areas more easily. This makes your alliance work together is battles better because there’s more coordination. Despite the benefits, building Alliance HQ is not so easy. This article will explain What Alliance HQ does, what you need before you can build it, how to place it strategically, and how to upgrade it perfectly.
What is the Alliance HQ in Kingshot?
The Alliance HQ in Kingshot is you alliance’s main base on the world map. It’s like a single building that shows all the area your group controls. It is very important because it gives lots of benefits to groups or alliances in the game. It increases your alliance’s resource income, it lets you place banners and claim nearby resource tiles. You can also use it to control rallies in the game. Kingshot’s Alliance HQ is controlled by the Alliance Leader also known as “The Marshal”. Only the Marshal in Kingshot can place the HQ but building or uograding it requires coordinated member contributions and also meeting some alliance prerequisites. I also want to inform you that the HQ can also be attacked or destroyed during wars so placement and also Alliance HQ defense is very important.
Who is the Alliance Marshal and How is he Chosen
In Kingshot and other similar games, the Marshal (R5) is the leader. He is the player who spends his resources to form the alliance. If the Marshal steps down, they can transfer their leadership to another member. This can be done by opening Alliance Menu -> Go to Members then select the player they want to promote. Tap “Promote to R5/ Transfer Leadership”.
If the Marshal becomes inactive for a long period (for example 7-14 days), the system may allow R4 officers to vote or automatically assume leadership so the alliance does not collapse. The game usually chooses the highest contributing R4 or the next longest active officer.
Requirements before You can Build the Alliance HQ in Kingshot
Before Building the Alliance HQ, you alliance must first meet some key requirements before proceeding. The first prerequisite is that the Alliance must reach Alliance Level 2 or higher. Only the Alliance Marshal (leader) can start the build and place the Alliance HQ.
The first Alliance HQ placement in Kingshot usually doesn’t require resources like wood, stone, or coins, but it requires member contribution points to speed up construction. Each member of your alliance should aim to earn around 300 to 600 contribution points per day by donating to Alliance Tech, participating in rallies, and completing alliance missions.
As for upgrades after the First HQ has been constructed, resources will be required and the total amount depends on the HQ level. In order to complete construction fast, its advisable that your alliance have at least 20 members who are consistently active to contribute points and resources. You can also join active alliances early so daily contributions are much easier.
How to Get the Resources Needed
You’re going to need resources when you’re ready to upgrade the Alliance HQ. The main resources required are wood, stone, iron and coins. To farm these resources, follow the following tips.
1. Target Tiles with a high yield: On the World map, forests, iron mines and quarries produce the highest resource output. You can assign multiple marches to the same tile if your alliance has enough troops to spare.
2. Use Resource Boosts: Apply Alliance or personal resource production boosts before farming sessions to maximize gains
3. How to Send Troops: You should send light infantry or fast cavalry for speed farming. These troops will gather resources fast and return before enemies can raid.
4. You should coordinate with Alliance Members: Always try to share farming locations with your alliance members and also rotate troop deployment to reduce the risk of attack. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
5. Participate in Daily missions: Missions, rallies and alliance events usually reward bonus resources. These resources can be used for upgrading
Step-by-Step guide to Building the Alliance HQ
1. Open the Alliance Menu: First tap the Alliance icon at the bottom of your screen, then select “Alliance Territory”.
2. Start HQ Build: Inside the territory map, tap the “+” icon or “Build HQ” button. Only the Alliance Marshal(R5) can see this option
3. Choose Placement Location: Select a tile in the Badlands (or Plains for later HQs). Tap the tile to highlight it, then press “Confirm Build”. The first HQs are free in resources but they still require member contribution points.
4. Rally Member Support: Once placed, tap the HQ, the select “Speed Up Construction”. Encourage members to donate contribution points via the “Alliance Help” or “Donate Resources” buttons.
5. Plan Upgrades: Tap HQ and “Upgrade”. At this point resources like wood, stone, coins, and Iron are required. Make sure active members contribute to accelerate completion. The section above mentions how to get these resources so you can go through it again if you lack these resources.
6. Expand Alliance Territory: Tap HQ and “Build Banner” then select adjacent tiles to expand control. Expanding your territory is important because more territory means more resource nodes and alliance bonuses.

Choosing the Best Location for the Alliance HQ
Pick your HQ location with long-term control in mind. Aim to place the HQ near resource nodes that yield high such as Iron Mines, quarries and forests. This is to ensure that early banners can capture them quickly. You can place them along the Fog border to reach resource tiles as the fog lifts.
When you tap a tile to place the HQ, always check the placement indicator. Green means “Ok” and red means “blocked”. You can also zoom out to confirm nearby facilities and enemy alliances. You can even leave a 3-5 tile buffer from other large established alliances to reduce early raiding.
How to Upgrade the Alliance HQ (And When You Should Do It)
To upgrade the Alliance HQ, you must be the Alliance leader or have R4 permissions. Open the Alliance Menu -> Territory -> Alliance Construction. Select Alliance HQ, and choose Upgrade. Each update requires Alliance Honor, Alliance Resources such as Food, Oil, and Iron. Sometimes, upgrades requires Alliance Vouchers earned from Alliance Quests, Alliance Events, and Resource Donation. Alliance members must donate resources daily to speed up the upgrade process so you should always make sure everyone participates.
You should upgrade the Alliance HQ when your alliance begins reaching member capacity limits. You can also upgrade it when you want to expand your territory, or when you need access to high tier Alliance Tech. Upgrading your Kingshot Alliance HQ is very important but avoid upgrading it during ongoing wars as because higher HQ levels become bigger targets on the map and require more defense. You should upgrade between wars when your alliance map is secure.
Player Roles and Responsibilities
A strong alliance in Kingshot depends on clear roles. The Alliance leader (R5) decides HQ placement, territory expansion and diplomacy. Officers (R4) manage donations, track contributions, organize rallies and coordinate building timers. R3 members usually lead farming squads, reinforce towers, or help manage new player onboarding. The Regular Members (R1 – R2) support by donating resources daily, attending rallies, and gathering in alliance territory. Everyone should help defend the HQ when enemies appear nearby.
Your alliance should be balanced because it encourages communication and participation is rewarded equally. Alliance Members should always try to login and donate because it will help the Alliance HQ progress faster.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
A frequent mistake most Kingshot players make is placing the Alliance HQ too far away from member bases, causing slow reinforcement times during attacks. Another issue is recruiting too quickly because recruiting inactive members will weaken your donation and rally capacity. Another common mistake made is that many alliances also rush HQ upgrades before securing resources such as tiles. Alliance HQ leaders are very important so they have a lot of tasks such as setting rules for donations and using diplomacy to control the alliance. Some Alliance leaders fail to fulfill this task and it can cause problems.
Tips for Strong Alliances
The first tip is for you to always try to build your Alliance HQ near areas with high tier resource tiles and strategic points in the map. This is good because it allows your alliance to control farming routes and it also provides defense. You should try to prioritize Alliance Tech that benefits everyone such as Training Speed, Rally Size, and Resource gathering bonuses. You should use Ping markers on the map to guide troops in real time during wars. Another tip or advice I can give to you (especially the alliance leader) is to schedule daily rally times so members know when to be online. This will increase participation because lots of members will be active (if they follow the schedule). The Alliance leader has to do all the above and work alongside all other members so there are benefits.
