Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Confirms Sarada’s Blindness

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 31 has been released and it’s titled “Shut Up”. A lot of information was revealed in this chapter but what stood out the most is that Sarada is going blind after using her Mangekyo Sharingan once more. It’s not surprise as Uchiha’s require the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan in order to use the full power of the MS without going blind. This was already explained in Naruto so the lore itself is nothing new. This article is going to highlight on everything that occurred in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 31 with emphasis on Eida’s MS and Mamushi’s ability. Lord Kobu Blames Shikamaru


Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 31 is titled “Shut Up”. Chapter 30 concluded with Koji telling Inojin to use Lord Kobu’s body and commit suicide. Inojin couldn’t do that so chapter 31 started from that point. Koji insisted that Inojin should release the Mind Transfer Jutsu before Mamushi kills Lord Kobu but Inojin Couldn’t do it. Later on in the chapter, Inojin released the Mind Transfer Justu because he has to do the Mind Transmission Formation justu. Lord Kobu was very fortunate because he Boruto destroyed the Mamushi clones going after him. Lord Kobu didn’t thank Boruto. I also want to add that Shikamaru and Sai witnessed Boruto Saving Lord Kobu. Kobu threatened Shikamaru because he has a feeling everything is tied to Shikamaru.


Mamushi's Special Ability


The second main info released in this chapter was on Mamushi ability. Eida couldn’t use her Senrigan when Inojin stopped the Mind Transmission Jutsu. In a conversation with Daemon, Eida revealed she intentionally didn’t use it because Mamushi would find her that way. The last time Eida looked at the Claw Grimes, Mamushi could see her so Eida believes Mamushi has a special ability that lets him gather Intel from looking at people eyes. This means Mamushi would be able to locate Eida immediately if she uses her Senrigan to watch what’s happening hence the reason Inojin’s Mind Transmission Formation Jutsu is her only access to the outside World. Mamushi confirmed Eida’s suspicion when he was talking to another Mamushi clone (duplicate).



Sarada Goes Blind


During the battle against Mamushi, we see Sarada and Delta fighting the Mamushi clones. Mamushi had duplicated to the point their intellect had become low. That’s how Mamushi ability works. The more they duplicate, that’s how their intellect will keep declining. Sarada and Delta attacked Mamushi but they kept duplicating and spreading. Sarada awakened her Mangekyo Sharingan and she used the Ohurime ability. Ohirume is Sarada’s MS ability that lets her create mini black holes that let her manipulate the gravitational force of anything she sees. She used it against multiple Mamushi clones, killing them. Delta went for the clones or duplicates that Sarada count see. They both did their part but Mamushi was spread out in Konoha. Sarada felt weak and it was revealed she was becoming blind. Sarada couldn’t see Delta but her eyesight isn’t completely bad because she saw a blurry image of Delta.

This is because of Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan. In order for Sarada to use the full power of her Mangekyo Sharingan without going blind, she would need to Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan which requires another pair of MS. Lots of fans believe she would have to use Sasuke’s eyes for this purpose but its also possible Eida’s Omnipotence ability can be used to fix her eyes (Unless it doesn't works). Another possibility is Shin Uchiha but they haven’t been mentioned in the manga so its unlikely.


Shikamaru's New Strategy


Mamushi was spread out in Konoha so Shikamaru had to think of another plan. This plan involves gathering all the Mamushi clones in one and destroying all of them. Mamushi’s goal is to devour Eida so Shikamaru plans on using Eida as Bait to gather all the Mamushi clones in one place and destroy them. Shikamaru informed Eida about the plan but Eida was a little anxious. Daemon (Eida’s little brother) on the other hand was excited as he’d get to fight.


Closure


This article basically covers every major event in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 31. This chapter confirmed Sarada is going blind because of her MS. Sarada would need an Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan in order to use her abilities without going blind. I made mention of different possibilities such as Sasuke or Shin Uchiha but curing her blindness with Eida’s Omnipotence ability made the most sense. If Omnipotence can warp the reality of Boruto and Kawaki then it’s possible it can fix Sarada’s blindness but this is possible only if it works. Eida’s omnipotence ability hasn’t worked on Sarada before so it might not work.
