How Inojin Defeats Mamushi Boruto Two Blue Vortex

Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 33 is titled “Shattering Futures”. The chapter gave fans more info on Kashin Kijo’s Prescience ability but the main highlight was on Mamushi’s defeat. For a long time now (Naruto and Boruto), side characters aren’t usually given a major spotlight but here we are in this case. Inojin defeated Mamushi and this is surprising because fans assumed it would be Boruto, Deamon or even Kawaki. This article is going to give a recap/review of Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 33. Sarada's Condition


Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 33 begins with everyone worried about Sarada’s condition. Sarada was supposed to finish off Mamushi using her Mangekyo Sharingan ability Ohirume but she passed out because it consumes so much Chakra. Her eyes are also bleeding so everyone was worried. Himawari healed Sarada’s blood vessels but she couldn’t heal Sarada’s eye damage. This chapter confirmed something very important and it’s that Himawari possesses the ability to heal others. Her healing powers are pretty good but it’s not master level, but overall, it’s pretty good. Himawari has so much potential.


Limitation of Koji's Prescience Ability


Mamushi wasn’t defeated so Daemon had to fight lots of Mamushi duplicates. Even after killing so many. Inojin asked Kashin Koji about when he last saw the future and Koji said it was “4 days ago”. This led to major revelation. Kashin Koji cannot control the prescience ability. This means it just comes from time-to-time or you can say it’s random but when it happens, he is able to see varies possibilities at that moment. Koji mentioned that the future changed the moment he told Inojin about his new justu. In fact, if Inojin wasn’t aware of the Mind Transmission Formation jutsu, then there would’ve been lots of casualties in konoha and Himawari and Eida would be dead. The only reason the future changed is because Inojin learned the Mind Transmission Formation Jutsu early on.


Inojin's Importance


Koji is emphasizing on how the Mind Transmission Formation Jutsu is the reason Mamushi feels weak because they all have some sort of control on the situation. The current situation is bad because Daemon is killing thousands of Mamushi clones or duplicates but they just keep multiplying. Daemon is the one protecting Eida and he even makes mention of how he is “running out of Breath”. Boruto, Kawaki and the others are also assisting but Mamushi just keeps multiplying. One can instantly become a thousand, each is its own consciousness and there’s no such thing as an original body because each is its own person. All Mamushi duplicates can share visual or auditory information with each, and even though each Mamushi can think independently, there’s a single collective consciousness that’s governing or controlling the entire swarm.


How Inojin Defeats Mamushi


Kashin Koji gave hints to Inojin about what he has to do and even Inojin was aware. Inojin had to shatter the “damn futures” in Koji’s words. We see Eida flying and Daemon is with her. They are trying to flee from Mamushi because they just keep coming. Eida can fly but Mamushi is much faster. Boruto and the others are attacking Mamushi but it’s still not enough.

In order to defeat Mamushi, Inojin temporarily stopped the Mind Transmission Formation Jutsu. He used a revere summoning jutsu to get to the battle location and performed a Mind Transfer Jutsu on one of Mamushi’s duplicates. He performed this justu with the help of Shikadai who also performed Shadow Paralysis jutsu. Inojin took control of the collective consciousness of all Mamushi duplicates, meaning every Mamushi was under Inojins control. Inojin recalled what Koji said about how the Mamushi duplicates who’ve lost their eyes won’t be able to duplicate any further. Using Mamushi, Inojin then said he would destroy Daemon’s and that’s when every Mamushi duplicate whether they were in that location or not lost their eyes and perished. In fact, Daemons reversal justu was so strong it also affected Inojins eyes. Himawari healed his eyes but the damage is uncertain.


Closure


This chapter concluded with Boruto acquiring Mamushi’s Thorn Soul Bulb. Boruto also wants to use it to revive Bug but Code is watching and waiting for an opportunity. Inojin was the MVP of this entire fight and it’s good because side characters get to shine. Something that also stood out was how Amado was intrigued by Mamushi’s ability (one consciousness, different persons/thoughts). I feel like this would be important in the future. It might even be related to Delta (as she used to have 3 bodies) because that’s why he came to Konoha in the first place. Overall, it’s a very good chapter.
