Cast of kpop Demon Hunter and Their Projects

Kpop Demon Hunters is a popular movie and it has a lot of amazing cast members. Its cast is very unique because it’s a mix of Hollywood actors and k-drama stars so in a way it’s like a blend on the ”West” and the ‘East”. Lots of people already know about the voice cast of Kpop Demon Hunters be it HUNTER/X or the Saja Boys but it’s only a few who know how experienced the voice cast of this show is. That is what this article is about. This article isn’t only going to talk about the Voice Cast of Kpop Demon Hunters but it will also reveal other projects the cast has worked on and I am sure very you will find it interesting. Only the biggest roles of these characters will be talked about.


Rumi (Arden Cho)

Arden Cho voices the popular Rumi in Kpop Demon Hunters. Arden is one of the more recognizable cast members because she’s known in both the western and eastern entertainment markets. If you are a fan of Teen Wolf, you might find her face familiar. This is because she starred in the Teen Wolf series and played the role of Kira Yukimura. Teen Wolf is a really popular show so Arden got her big break in the Entertainment Industry from this series.

Arden Cho has also appeared in other shows such as Partner Track and Chicago Med. You might not know these two shows mentioned but other people who are familiar with these shows will be familiar with Arden Cho. She is a good actress and a good voice actress. Arden Cho is a really good Voice Actress. She voiced the role of Rumi perfectly.


Mira (May Hong)

May Hong voices Mira who is a member of HUNTER/X. She wasn’t a well-known actor before Kpop Demon Hunter blew up. Before the film, she built her career around modeling and working on major brands like Gucci, Adidas and Marc Jacobs. She later on transitioned into independent film and series which slowly built her on screen presence. However, it’s very difficult getting to know the personal projects she worked on. This is why this article is about major projects. Mira didn’t have a major background in acting such as the other cast members but her background in fashion and modeling helped her a lot.


Zoey (Ji-young Yoo)

Ji-young Yoo voices Zoey, one of the members of HUNTER/X in the hit animated film Kpop demon hunters. She is different from Mira because she has appeared in several Netflix projects so she had some acting background. Ji-young Yoo appeared in Moxie and she played Claudia in the movie. She is also in Expats which is a popular drama series and she plays Mercy Cho. She was a really good actress in Moxie and she played Zoey perfectly.


Jinu (Ahn Hyo-seop)

Hyo-seop voices Jinu, the leader of the Saja boys and one of the few important male characters in Kpop Demon Hunter. Ahn Hyo-seop is very different from the others in this article because he was popular K-drama star before filming Kpop Demon Hunters. If you are a fan of K-drama, then you should him from shows like “Business Proposal” where he plays Kang Tae-Moo and “Dr. Romantic” where he plays Seo Woo-jin. He wasn’t just part of this show but he played leading roles in these two K-dramas so he is well known in the K-drama scene. Ahn Hyo-seop playing Jinu in Kpop Demon Hunter basically introduced him to the Western Market as he has a good portfolio in the Asian drama scene.


Supporting Cast


Aside from the main cast of Kpop Demon Hunters that was mentioned above, there are also well known supporting cast who you might know from elsewhere. Examples include Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, Lee Byung-hun and Yunjin Kim. The supporting cast mentioned are well known in both Hollywood and Korean drama. An example is Lee Byung-hun who is known for his role as hwang In-ho in Squid game. Daniel Dae Kim has starred in Lost (Jin-Soo Kwon) and Avatar: The Last Airbender(Fire Lord Ozai in the new series). We also have Ken Jeong who starred in Community and The Hangover.


Closure


The voice cast of Kpop Demon Hunters is really experienced and it honestly shows. Most of the people who voice your favorite characters in Kpop Demon Hunters were established actors (except May Hong). This means Kpop Demon Hunter was like a Reunion of western and eastern talents, hence the reason for the amazing voice performances in the animated film.
