because it is free, it has an amazing gameplay or arena combat and it has massive player numbers. Lots of fans might want to play with friends who use different systems so they as might ask themselves whether Brawlhalla is Crossplay in 2026. Fortunately for a lot of fans Brawlhalla is Crossplay in 2026 as it supports full cross platform play across PC, consoles(PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch) and mobile(iOS, Android). This article is going to walk you through each platforms compatibility and also give you tips that ensure a smooth crossplay session on all devices be it mobile or console.
What is Crossplay and why it’s a good for Brawlhalla
Crossplay, also referred to as cross platform play allows gamers on different devices such as PC, consoles or mobile to play together without any issues. In Brawlhalla, Crossplay is very important because it allows players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mobile (iOS, Android) into one large matchmaking pool. This essentially means you’re no longer restricted by hardware when playing with friends. Crossplay in Brawlhalla means a bigger player pool and this makes the game much more competitive overall. Crossplay also ensure that the game remains alive and thriving across all platforms be it on PC, or mobile.
Does Brawlhalla Support Crossplay in 2026?
Yes, Brawlhalla supports full Crossplay across all major platforms. The Crossplay feature was introduced in Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in May 2019. This was talked about so much during that time because Brawlhalla was one of the early titles that supported Crossplay. Later in October 2019, the developers announced that Crossplay would extend to PlayStation as well, now PS4/PS5 players can join the same matchmaking pools as PC, Xbox and Switch Users. Crossplay had already been established as part of Brawlhalla and it works really well. This means whether you’re on PC, console or mobile, you can queue up and play with friends on other devices without needing separate versions.
How to Enable or Use Crossplay in Brawlhalla (2026)
Before starting this section, I first want to point out that Crossplay and Friends list are two different things. Crossplay means your game client can connect to other platforms for matchmaking and lobbies meanwhile Friends list is tied to the platform network you use and it’s not shared across systems
PlayStation (PS4/PS5)
First Launch Brawlhalla and sign in with your PSN account
Go to Setting -> Account Linking and connect your Ubisoft Account
Make sure that Crossplay is turned ON in settings -> Gameplay. It’s usually enabled by default but you can still check if you want.
Use the Friends tab to invite players from your PSN list or through Brawlhalla's Friend menu
Xbox (One, Series X/S)
1. First Sign in to Xbox Live and Open Brawlhalla
2. Link Your Ubisoft account in Settings
3. Verify Crossplay is enabled under gameplay
4. Invite Xbox Friends through the game’s social menu or Xbox’s native invite system.
Nintendo Switch
1. Log in with your Nintendo Account
2. Go to Settings -> Account Linking and connect Ubisoft
3. Confirm Crossplay is turned on
4. Invite switch friends using the games menu or switch friend list
Mobile (Android/iOS)
1. Open Brawlhalla and link your Ubisoft account when prompted
2. Crossplay is automatically enabled on mobile so you don’t need to toggle anything.
3. Unlike the others platforms, Brawlhalla’s mobile version doesn’t include a full game’s friend list. You can add r view friends directly through the mobile interface
4. To play with friends on any platform, create or join a Custom Game Room and Share the room Code.
A custom Game Room Code is very important. You can use a custom Game rooms for Crossplay for Friends on different platforms. Create a Custom Game Room, copy the Room Code, and share it so everyone can join regardless of system. I wrote about Custom game rooms in my “How to Add Friends in Brawlhalla” article. You can also use a custom game room Code in Brawlhalla if players can’t be added (because the game’s friend list is platform specific).
If invites fail, confirm the Ubisoft account linking on both ends and restart the game.
Cross Platform Friends and Progression
To fully benefit from cross platform friends and progression in Brawlhalla, players must link their platform (Steam, PSN Xbox Live, Switch, and Mobile) to a shared Ubisoft Connect account. Once linked, the Ubisoft account becomes the main hub for storing unlocks, skins, coins and stats across devices. This means if you earned a legendary skin on Brawlhalla PC, its useable on Brawlhalla Switch or Mobile. The Friends list on Ubisoft Connect allows you to view and invite friends across platforms. Even though the mobile versions lacks a full game friend list, linking via Ubisoft connect ensures that you stay connected. The shared account also connect crossplay and keeps your progress uninterrupted even if you switch platforms.
Some Common Crossplay Issues in Brawlhalla and Fixes
Despite cross platform support in Brawlhalla, some players run into issues when trying to play with friends on different systems. An issue is the “Can’t connect to game servers” error which stems from firewalls or blocked ports (23,000 to 24,000 and 33,000 to 34,000) in their router. Another frequent problem is lag or input delay especially when matched with players on other platforms. Some Brawlhalla community users report frequent rollbacks and poor synchronization after crossplay updates.
To fix the above issues, enable crossplay in settings, link your Ubisoft account properly, use a wired LAN connection when it’s possible, and also try updating the game version. If none of these fixes work, use the “Custom Game Room” method to bypass platform restrictions.

Crossplay or cross platform play in Brawlhalla isn’t just a feature. Its so much more than that. Its part of the games identity enabling players on PC, console and mobile to connect easily. Brawlhalla’s crossplay launched in 2019 connecting players across platforms. By linking your Ubisoft account and enables crossplay in settings, you not only unlock broader matchmaking but also get friends across systems and cross progression feature.
