Brawlhalla is a super popular free-to-play fighting game developed by Blue Mammoth Games and published by Ubisoft. The game became a global hit since its release and this is because of how good it is. Brawlhalla has an amazing gameplay, cool characters, multiple crossovers (for instance Rayman and TWD) and it’s also available across multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile devices. Brawlhalla has been out for a long time now so lots of fans are wondering about how many people still play the game. This is a very valid worry and the answer for this worry can be understood by looking at Steam data alone. This is basically what this article is going to talk about.


How Many People Still Play Brawlhalla


Even though Ubisoft hasn’t released Brawlhalla live number player count, there are still several indicators that suggest Brawlhalla is still very active. Its confirmed by Ubisoft that Brawlhalla has surpassed 100 million registered players Worldwide which suggests that Brawlhalla is a really popular game across all platforms. Aggregate estimated data online also show that the Brawlhalla sees around 280,000 to 350,000 concurrent players globally at any given time when looking at all platforms. There are also reports online that estimate over 15 million monthly active users but you should understand that this information is estimation, meaning it’s not directly 15 million but around that number. What you should understand from this information is that Brawlhalla is still extremely popular because it still has a huge and active player base.


Brawlhalla Player Count on Steam


When people search online for Brawlhalla, they usually find Steam data first but it can be misleading if you don’t understand the context. On Steam, Brawlhalla usually averages around 9,000 to 11,000 concurrent players with peaks reaching 15,000 to 17,000 concurrent players during active periods or when Blue Mammoth decides to add an update. At the time of writing this article which is March 31, 2026, the live counts fluctuate between 7,000 to 12,000 players depending on the time of the day. I made mention of how these figures can be misleading if you don’t understand the context. You see, these numbers only represent PC players suing Steam so they do not include players on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile (iOS and Android). This is why the Steam numbers appear really small even though they are just a fraction of the overall Brawlhalla player count. Brawlhalla is Active


One of the biggest reasons Brawlhalla remains active is because of its cross platform. I even wrote an article about how Crossplay/ cross platform works in Brawlhalla and it has greatly benefited the game. Brawlhalla is available across multiple platforms and it supports full crossplay, meaning players from PC, consoles, and mobile (iOS and Android) can all play together. This greatly increases the overall player pool because Brawlhalla combines all players into one combined matchmaking system. This is honestly really good because it helps the game maintain fast queue times and consistent activity. Crossplay is a very important part of Brawlhalla because they wouldn’t have this huge player base if Crossplay wasn’t included. Crossplay lets Brawlhalla unify its global audience so its player base and activity rate is hardly declining, hence the reason the game feels so active in 2026.


Is Brawlhalla Growing or Dying


Brawlhalla isn’t experiencing any explosive growth like lots of new game releases but it’s not also declining either. Data on platforms such as Steam shows that the games player number numbers have remained stable over time with concurrent players staying within a certain range almost every month. There are also some small fluctuations but its perfectly normal for any live service game. Player activity in the game usually spikes during major updates, new legend releases, crossover events, and seasonal tournaments. It eventually settles back to its baseline when all the hype has cooled down but it’s still stable which means it’s not dying. This pattern basically suggests that Brawlhalla has a healthy and stable player base that isn’t going away anytime soon so yes, Brawlhalla is not dying.


Why Brawlhalla Still Has So Many Players


There are lots of reasons why Brawlhalla has so many players and I will highlight some of these reasons in this section. The first reason Brawlhalla has so many player is because it free to play so people can join at any time. You can also play the game offline so people hardly forget about the game. Another reason the game has so many players is because it supports full Crossplay and this leads to active servers because matchmaking happens almost instant. Another important reason Brawlhalla still has so many players is because of the frequent updates. Similar to Fortnite, Brawlhalla is frequently updated which basically means new legends, crossover events and even balance updates, are added over time. Blue Mammoth keeps adding fresh content in Brawlhalla so people won’t stop playing the game. The final reason Brawlhalla still has many players is because of its esports scene. There are lots of tournaments and seasonal championship which makes people eager and anxious to try the game.

Lots of people still play Brawlhalla. Even though the exact number can vary, it’s been confirmed that the game still has millions of players worldwide and this is supported by the games cross platform and consistent updates. Statistics on Steam might make the game player base look smaller but only a fraction of the total audience because it’s just a single platform. Brawlhalla still has an active online matchmaking arena in case you want to play the game.
