Fortnite update v42.20 was released on September 17, 2026 and a brand new feature was added to Battle Royale. This new important feature is playable arcade games. This means you can play arcade games during a battle Royale match. 5 different Arcade mini-games can be played. This article is going the new arcade mini-game feature that has been added to Fortnite Battle Royale, the different mini-games you can play and how to access the mini-game section.
Fortnite update v42.20 added some playable arcade games. An arcade area was added to the Battle Royale Island. So when you go to this arcade, you will see some game machine. Those machine are not just there for formality because there are some cabinets that you can interact with to play some mini-games. There are 5 mini-games in total which includes Volley, Meteors, Block Busters, Boost Ball and Time Waster.
These mini-games are played inside the Battle Royale match so it’s not like its own game mode. When you are playing the mini-game, your character will temporarily stop participating in the Battle Royale Match but you will still be there. You will see the game that you are playing but others will see your character.
As for the location of the new mini-game arcade, it’s beside the Five Nights at Freddy’s Pizzeria on the Fortnite Island. If you already know where the Five Nights at Freddy’s Pizzeria is then you won’t face any problem finding the game arcade. It’s just obvious.
Okay now this is a question people will ask when they hear about this new Arcade game feature. When you go the game arcade in Fortnite Battle Royale, you will be in battle. This arcade mode isn’t its own mode or lobby because it’s in the Battle Royale. This just means that another character can find you and kill your character while you are playing a game. This is why this arcade mode is very risky. If you want to play, try your best not to stay for long there or else you will be eliminated. What’s scary is the fact that there’s only one arcade so lots of people will frequently show up in that location. If you want to play this game, try to do so when the player count has declined significantly. You should also be fast.
Fortnite adding this mini-games is very interesting and I am sure lots of players will love it but it happens through a Battle Royale Match so players won’t be able to freely test it out as they see fit especially during a competitive match. This is because their avatars will be vulnerable when they are playing these arcade games and they will be eliminated. The arcade games added to Fortnite include Volley, Meteors, Block Busters, Boost Ball and Time Waster.
