Essence stones in Whiteout Survival is one of the most valuable resources in the game. It’s used to strengthen your Mythic Hero Gear to the Mastery Forging system in the game. There are lots of players who collect Essence stones without understanding how to use it and this can lead to wasted upgrades and weaker marches later on in the game. Essence stones are hard to farm so it’s good to spend them wisely so you can actually progress. In this article, you are going to learn how to use Essence Stones in Whiteout Survival, how mastery Forging works, which gear deserves priority, and ways to avoid wastage of resources.


How to Use Essence Stones in Whiteout Survival


Before you use the Essence Stone, you need to unlock the Mastery Forging system first. This is where lots of players are confused because collect Essence Stones early but they cannot use them immediately. So you need to unlock Mastery Forgery first.


Unlocking Mastery Forgery


In order to unlock Mastery Forgery in Whiteout Survival, upgrade your Furnace to Level 20, obtain a Mythic Hero Gear (Orange Gear), and upgrade that Mythic Gear to at least level 20. Once you met these condition, the Mastery Forging option will become available inside the Hero Gear Menu.


How to Use Essence Stones in Whiteout Survival


In order to use your Essence stones, open the Heroes Menu and select your hero. You will see a Gear option and you need to tap it. After tapping it, Choose a Mythic Gear Piece, Open Mastery Forging and Press “Forge” (if you have enough Essence Stones). Each upgrade will permanently increase the stats of that specific gear piece making your hero stronger in battle.

Essence stones only work on Mythic Gear. This means they cannot be used on blue, purple, or low tier equipment. Most players ignore this or they are not aware which isn’t good.


Focusing on Your Main Hero


A common mistake many people make with Essence Stones is spreading upgrades across too many heroes. Essence stones are very expensive so its good top focus on your main march. Different people have different main marches and it honestly depends on the person who’s playing but a balanced main march in this game should include one infantry hero, one marksman hero, and one Lancer hero. When talking about upgrades for these heroes, there are some gears that should be prioritized.

For instance, in the case of infantry heroes, you should prioritize upgrading belts and gloves because they add your health meanwhile in the case of Marksman and Lancer heroes, you should focus on boots and goggles because they increase attack. If you want a good Bear Hunt damage you should go for Marksman upgrades. If your main aim is PvP then infantry upgrades should do. Overall, it just depends on the player. Personal preference is the most important so try to test out different upgrades on different heroes.


How Mastery Level Works in Whiteout Survival


Whenever you spend Essence Stones in this game, the Mastery Level of your Mythic Gear increases. As the Mastery level increases, the gear gains stronger bonuses such as attack, health, lethality, and survivability. These boost are very important in the game and it’s honestly easy to tell. Especially in PVP and other competitive events in Whiteout Survival. Lower Mastery Levels may require only Essence Stones for upgrades but once you reach higher levels, the system can demand for more. For instance after reaching Mastery Level 10, you will need additional Mythic Gear Pieces for upgrades. Essence Stone requirements also increases as your level increases. For instance level 1 might need 10 Essence stones but Level 10 might require 100 essence Stones (although this changes from time-to-time).


Some Tips You Might Like


The first tip is that you shouldn’t waste your Essence Stones on Gear that you will replace. This means you have to think very well and plan the gear you know you will need or else it will be like wastage. Secondly, try to focus on heroes that are strong or that you think are strong. They might not be strong but you should be able to use them regularly for rallies, Arena, Bear Hunt and Combat marches.


Best Ways to Get More Essence Stones


Essence stones similar to other resources are limited in the game but there are lots of ways to get these stones in Whiteout Survival. This is by participating I activities and also getting it from a shop in Whiteout Survival. The sources for Essence Stones in Whiteout Survival include Bear Hunt, Intel Missions, the different shops (Foundry Shop, Arena Shop, Mystery Shop, VIP Shop). Essence stones are considered high value rewards when participating in different activities.
