Fortnite Crew Is Ending Monthly Outfits

Fortnite crew is going to be getting a major update on December 5 so there’s a lot of talk among Forttnite fans on the Internet. This is because this update is going to change how subscribers earn rewards. So based on the information revealed Epic, subscription is going to introduce tiered V-Bucks bonuses based on consecutive months of membership (meaning how you consistently subscribe to membership). There’s also going to be new XP boosts for subscribers and their squadmates. This article is going to talk about this news in detail.


Fortnite Crew Introduces Tiered V-Bucks Rewards.


Fortnite Crew update tiers

Fortnite crew is going to introduce tiered V-Buck rewards and this means that your rewards will increase based on how you consistently subscribe every month. This information was released in an official announcement by Epic Games. I created a table for the different tiers, the time period and monthly V-Bucks rewards.

Bronze 3 - 5 Months 1,200
Silver 6 - 11 Months 1,400
Gold 12+ Months 1,600

This new system was created to reward long-term or consistent subscribers. This is also a way to push more people to subscribe but it’s still going to benefit people who subscribe to Fortnite crew consistently every month.


New XP Boosts for Crew Members


There’s also going to be new XP Boosts for Fortnite Crew Members. All Fortnite Crew Members will receive a 20% XP Boost. If you a squadmate who isn’t subscribed but you are playing with people who are subscribed, you will get a 10% XP Boost. The Squadmate bonus is very different from the Fortnite Crew Subscription bonus. There might be some variables that affect the squadmate’s subscription but the Crew is 100% guaranteed 20% XP Boost.


The December Crew Pack Will Be the Last with a New Outfit


The December Crew Pack is also going to be the final or last pack to feature a newly released outfit. This is something that has led to lots of discussions online (reddit and Facebook). Something about Fortnite Crew that a lot of fans loved was the monthly exclusive outfits and matching cosmetics. Some subscribers would receive a new outfit bundle each month and some of these packs even included legacy styles that could be unlocked if you maintain your subscription but this is no longer the case.

Although the December Crew Pack is going to be the final to feature an outfit, players who already own Crew Pack cosmetics will not lose their rewards. In fact Epic says it will grant all remaining Legacy Styles for Crew Pack outfits, pickaxes, and back blings that players already own in December regardless of whether or not they are still subscribed.


Fortnite OG Might Come To an End


In Other news, Fortnite OG is ending after Season X (10). Based on information revealed in the announcement, we know that Fortnite OG will be discontinued after December 4. However, a statement was made saying the next era of Fortnite OG Drops in late 2027 so maybe it will return as something else. I can’t really say because I don’t know the future.

Fortnite Crew is changing on December 5 with tiered V-Bucks rewards and XP boosts, while December’s Crew Pack becomes the last to include a new outfit. The subscription price for Fortnite Crew hasn’t changed so it’s still $11.99. Also Battle pass and Rocket Pass will still be part of the subscription so a lot hasn’t changed to be honest. However, there’s going to be More V-Bucks and XP benefits for continued membership. The only downside is that there’s no longer going to be monthly new Crew outfits after December.
