There are readers who might disagree with some name but it’s a matter of perspective and that’s something that can be easily changed.
5. Colt
Colt is one of the highest DPS Brawlers in the game when you use him well. He also has long range attacks that allow him dominate open maps and punish slower enemies before they can even approach him. Colt has an extremely high damage output, a strong lane pressure and a pretty good wall breaking utility with super. He also has a good heist safe damage. He’s just a really Brawler in the game. On maps like Shooting Star or Bright Too Far, Colt can pressure tank characters like Bull and Frank constantly from long range attacks that destroy walls that enemies rely on cover. Colts weakness is that he depends on his aim so you missing a shot can lower his value, hence he’s good for skilled players.
4. Colette
Colette is one of the strongest anti-tank Brawlers in the game because her attacks deal damage based on enemy health. She has a strong objective control, consistent damage scaling and she can melt high HP enemies quickly. She’s an excellent character in Hot Zone and Heist. You see, if enemy teams can have tanks such as El Primo, Frank or Buster, Colette can remove huge chunks of their HP which makes it difficult for them to control objectives. The main downside about her is her Super which is deadly or dangerous near walls because enemies can take damage whether they’re going forward or returning.
3. Mortis
Mortis is one of the best high skill Brawlers in Brawl Stars because of his mobilization and assassination skills. People love Mortis because of his amazing mobility and good backline pressure. He’s also a good counter for throwers and he is great for Gem Grab. Mortis can completely shut down throwers like Dynamike or Barley by damaging through walls and eliminating them before they can escape. Mortis might feel weak in the hands of inexperienced players but he becomes a tarrying character when the people using him understand dash timing, ammo management and chain healing with his super.
2. Crow
Crow dominates in Brawl Stars because he can create constant pressure without needing direct fights. He’s the second in this list and one of the best Brawlers because he has a good mobility, he has excellent scouting ability, his poison can prevent healing (he is like an anti-heal force) and he has a safe poke damage. There are some Brawlers that are good healers such as Coco or Byron but Crow’s poison can constantly block recovery. This applies to all other Brawlers in the game and this means Crow can force enemies to retreat or take risky fights with low health. However, using Crow might be difficult in Control Maps where chip damage can slowly weaken entire teams over time

Spike is considered one of the safest and best Brawlers in Brawl Stars because he performs well in almost every situation. He has a massive burst damage, a strong area denial, good anti-tank pressure, a very reliable lane control and he is also versatile across many modes in the game. He’s just a really good Brawler. Let me give you an example of Spike’s reliability. On tight maps, Spike can use a skill called Cactus Grenades that spread into multiple spikes that can punish enemies that are grouped together hiding behind walls. Tank characters can lose huge amounts of HP before reaching him. Spike is a very dangerous character if players do not land good shots on him.

The Brawlers in this section of the article are not completely usable but they usually struggle due to poor consistency. They also have a high matchup dependence and can be easily outclassed by stronger options in the Meta. 5. Darryl
Darrly has a solid burst damage but the games control Meta hurt him. He has a very predictable engage, he is weak against control effects, he can easily be countered by Knockbacks and his character is honestly inconsistent in open maps. For instance a character like Gale can completely stop Darryl’s rolling super just by using Knockbacks abilities. Spike’s slowing Super can also make it difficult for Darryl to escape after diving and this weakness applies to many characters. Lots of aggressive Darryl pushes can easily fail because ranged Brawlers can just damage him before he reaches his target.
4. Jessie
Jessie’s turret pressure used to dominate slower metas but modern gameplay that heavily relies on mobility makes her less reliable. Jessie has a slow projectile speed and weak burst damage. Her turret can also be destroyed quickly and she struggles against assassins. Characters like Mortis can eliminate Jessie’s turret before it generates value in the game and long range Brawlers like Piker can destroy it from a distance. Despite her weaknesses, Jessie still performs well at lower trophy levels where players are usually grouped together.
3. Bull
Bull is an extremely dangerous character especially in close range but it becomes much harder to reach enemies in the current Meta. Some enemies are long range, some have insane skills meanwhile others have a high mobility. Bull is really map dependent, he is weak against poke damage and he also has a bad lane control. As mentioned above, he can easily be defeated by ranged Brawlers. Range Brawlers like Piper, Belle, Or Brock can chip Bull constantly from a long range before he even gets close to fight. You should still remember that Bull performs well in close combat so player who like using him should always try to get close to enemies.
2. Poco
Poco healing ability is still valuable in the game but the aggressive metas of today reduces Poco value. Poco has a low damage output, and he is vulnerable against burst teams. He is also heavily teammate depending and has a weak solo carry ability. Poco is practically useless against a character like Crow because of his poison and assassins like Edgar can finish off Poco quickly. Poco works best in a team rather than a solo match.

Shelly, similar to Bull can still dominate close range fights but at least Bull is consistent so in close range, he can put up a fight. Shelly on the other hand can’t consistently win close range battles. Short range is just one of Shelly’s main problem. Shelly has very predictable approach pattern in the game, she can easily be zoned by snipers and her win honestly depends on matchup. On open maps, Brawlers like Pier or Bea can pressure shelly from a distance, preventing her from ever reaching close. However, Shelly is good in maps with a lot of bush where enemies cannot easily track her position.
