How to Get to New Leaf City in MapleStory

New Leaf City or NLC is a popular location in MapleStory because it’s like a gateway to the Masteria region. Since the release of MapleStory, the methods for reaching New Leaf City has changed and most of this is due to different updates in the game. This just means lots of players usually return to NLC from time-to-time and brand new MapleStory players are unsure about how to get there. This is because there are different methods to get to New Leaf City in MapleStory. New Leaf City is honestly unique because it has questlines, it links to unique maps, NPCs and there’s also access to several pieces of Masteria content so it’s like a must visit location. This article is going to reveal the different methods of traveling to New Leaf City in MapleStory and how to unlock the area if you are visiting for the first time.


What is New Leaf City in MapleStory


New Leaf City is a major and important town located in the Masteria region of MapleStory. It’s loved by so many fans because it’s like a central hub that connects players to several unique locations and questlines within Masteria. This is basically why it’s so important. NLC is a popular destination for excusive content, equipment and it’s for story progression (exploration). The region is linked to other regions in the game such as the Krakian Jungle and MesoGears. You might know these two locations mentioned well because it’s tied to the Modern Masteria storyline. I also want to add that you can encounter quests related to the history of the location but it depends on your level.

Most MapleStory players travel to New Leaf City to start or continue Masteria quests, explore unique maps by unlocking new areas and access special NPCs. Lots of quests in this region are designed for advanced characters so the NLC is good for players who are around level 170 or more


Fastest Way to Get to New Leaf City in MapleStory


The easiest way to get to New Leaf City in MapleStory is through the Maple Guide. if you are a new player, all you need to do is unlock the area and you will be able to travel there via the Maple Guide. All you need to do is Open Maple Gide in the MapleStory Game menu, look for the destination you want to travel to (locate New Leaf City in the available destinations), select the destination and teleport. It’s very easy and this is the fastest methods for most players. However, some people might face difficulties unlocking New Leaf City. Like you can’t travel there using this method if you haven’t unlocked it in the first place. This is what the next section is going to be for.


How to Unlock New Leaf City For The First Time


If New Leaf City in Maplstory doesn’t appear in your Maple Guide, that means you need to unlock it first through the questline related to it. It’s impossible to describe how you should get to it without a quest. You need to frequently check your quests notifications (the light bulb icon on the left side of your screen). You will receive a quest that introduces you to New Leaf City or the Masteria storyline. Once you see this kinds of quests then you should accept it. There are cases in the community where people ignored Masteria quests and didn’t get access to New Leaf City. You need to accept these quests and follow the objective they give to you. These quests are designed to guide players to the region while also introducing the main characters and locations associated with New Leaf City. After completing the introductions, New Leaf City will be easier to access and you will be able to travel there through the Maple Guide. Now these quests don’t come at the beginning of the game. You have to reach a certain level or story progression before it shows up so it depends on how you play.


Can You Still Use Dimensional Mirror


Now for old time Maplestopry players, most people would think of Dimensional Mirror. In fact there’s information online that talk about Dimensional Mirror in MapleStory and this isn’t surprising. For a long time, Dimensional mirrors was one of the main ways to access New Leaf City and other special regions in MapleStory. MapleStory has gone through so many updates and this has changed travel systems, regional access and quest requirements in the game. This means old information related to Dimensional Mirror is different from the current game version. However, I want to say it still depends on the game version. However, there are versions of MapleStory that include Dimensional Mirror but the Maple Guide should be your first option if you want to get to New Leaf City.


Alternative Ways to Reach New Leaf City


The first alternative way is the Hyper Teleport Rock. This method lets you travel directly to the New Leaf City through the World map. To do this, you need to open the World map, search for New Leaf City or a closer area, select that destination and use the Hyper Teleport Rock. Another alternative is the World Map Fast Travel option. Aside from this, the third alternative is quest teleportation. For instance if you are doing a quest that’s centered on New Leaf City or something related to the Masteria storyline, you can be teleported to that location.


Common Problems People Face When Trying to Reach New Leaf City


The first common issue people face is New Leaf City not appearing in Maple Guide and this issue is usually caused by an incomplete questline. To fix this issue, check your quests and try to do all related to Masteria or New Leaf City. Completing these quests give you an easier access to it.

The second issue many people face is Dimensional Mirror not showing New Leaf City. This problem is a MapleStory build or version problem because lots of older guides continue to references Dimensional Mirror. MapleStory has changed regional travel system lots of times so if it doesn’t show up don’t be upset with yourself.

If New Leaf City doesn’t show up in your available destinations, then all you need to do is to complete the introductory Masteria questline and the problem will be resolved.
