The Bear Trap is also referred to as Bear Hunt event in Kingshot (in case you don’t know) and its one of the most important alliance activities for earning valuable rewards in the game. Even though it’s called Bear Hunt (Bear Trap), you are not supposed to defeat the bear or that’s not the real objective. The main objective of this event is to deal as much damage as possible within a limited time window and it’s usually 30 minutes or so. Your rewards depend on your damage meaning the higher your damage, then the better the rewards. Even though Bear Trap seems easy, lots of players face some difficulties in giving maximum damage, hence the question “how to increase Bear Trap in Kingshot” arises. This article is going to reveal the best strategies to increase bear trap damage in Kingshot plus info on troop setups and upgrade priorities that might help.


How Bear Trap Damage Works in Kingshot


It’s good that you understand how Bear trap works so you know what you’re doing. During the Bear trap event, you need to attack the Bear repeatedly within a limited time period (usually around 30 minutes). The Bear doesn’t dal damage like in normal battles so your defensive stats such as HP and defense is pointless or not valuable. Combat is calculated by fixed rounds where your troops continuously deal damage based on their stats and skills. This simply means your Attack and Lethality are the two factors that influence your damage in this event. I would say Lethality is more important because it’s like a damage multiplier which is very different from raw attack power alone. Understanding this will be beneficial because some people assume power is everything.


Focus on the Right Stats


This section is going to be an extension of the section above but I will just highlight what should be your priority. Your Top Priority should be lethality because it directly boosts how much damage your troops deal and it usually scales better that attack. It can be harder to increase but it gives you an overall advantage. Your second priority should be Attack stat. I don’t think I need to explain how attack works because you should know that but Buffs, gear upgrades, and research can help improve your overall attack value. You should prioritize lethality and attack rather than aiming for a balanced build because defense is pointless in this event. The attack stat is a symbol shaped like a sword meanwhile lethality looks like a sharp weapon (or blade or red damage icon).


The Best Troop Setup for Maximum Damage


Your troop setup plays a very important role in how much damage you deal during the Bear Trap event. The best setup is can recommend is like an archer style setup which basically means like 70-80% of your troops should be archers. This works well because the bear is treated as an infantry type target meaning many archers have a natural advantage and they deal more damage. It’s also good that you use the highest tier troops so you have better stats and deal more damage. Even though I said this, do not overload your march with infantry units (or over include infantry units in your march). You can get more damage with the right troop setup.


Hero Skills and Rally Strategy


Rally strategy matters more than raw power if you really want to increase Bear Trap damage in Kingshot. You should always prioritize or even try to join the strongest rally leaders in your alliance. The rally leader provides the main attack, lethality and hero skills effects, which means your damage depends on their setup. This is very important because even if your troops are strong, a weak leader will reduce your overall output. Secondly, you should pay close attention to your main hero selection. Only your first hero’s primary skill is applied when joining a really so you should always use a hero that boosts attack or lethality. Avoid defensive or irrelevant skills that contribute nothing to damage.

I want to add that if your hero setup isn’t optimized, then it’s better to send troops without a hero rather than a weak rally. It’s also good to split your troops across multiple strong rallies (like 2) instead of stacking everything into one big rally.


Upgrade Your Bear Trap and Buffs


You can improve your damage before Bear Trap event. You can do this by upgrading your Bear Trap Level in Kingshot so you get a direct attack bonus that increases your overall damage. The higher the Bear trap level, the stronger your output damage so you should consistently upgrade over time. You should also activate your attack buffs, lethality boosts, and troop enhancement before the event begins. Since the damage scales with these stats, even a small boost can make a huge difference during battle. You should also recall all your troops before the event starts so you can join as many rallies as possible.


Alliance Coordination Tips


This section won’t say anything you haven’t read before but it’s just some tips. If you want to maximize damage, you alliance should focus on a few strong rally leaders. This is better than creating many weak ones. In short, strong leaders make stronger rallies and weak leaders make weaker rallies. It’s also good that you join rallies very fast. The faster you join a rally, the more attacks cycles you complete during the event. This increases your overall damage.


Common Mistakes to Avoid


There are some mistakes some people make during the Bear Trap event in Kingshot. One of the most common mistakes is joining weak rally leaders. I said this before and I am repeating it again, it’s better you don’t have a rally leader than have one that’s weak. The Bear Trap event needs rally leaders who possess good attack and/or lethality. Another common mistake is using the wrong hero. In this event, your main hero must prove attack and/or lethality. Some players also ignore the archer setup (around 70-80%) which significantly reduces damage output. Other make the mistake of sending troops into one rally instead of speaking them across multiple ones.
