Brawlhalla Announces 69th Legend

Brawlhalla fans are very happy because they didn’t get just one main announcements but two major announcements during the Midseason Championship event. The first announcement was when Blue Mammoth Games (creator of Brawlhalla) revealed Aurus as the games 69th Legend. Shortly after Aurus was announced, it was also revealed that there’s going to be a Shrek Crossover with Brawlhalla so there was just so much excitement. This article is going to talk about the 69th Legend in Brawlhalla (Aurus) with emphasis on the type of weapons he uses and it will also talk about the Shrek x Shrek Crossover, emphasizing on Shrek characters that will be coming to Brawlhalla.


Aurus Becomes Brawlhalla’s 69th Legend


Every new legend announced in Brawlhalla is a huge deal because it doesn’t happen often. New roster addition in the game are released more frequently now so it’s a huge deal. This wasn’t the case when the game first released or during the games early years. Aurus is going to be the 69th Legend in Brawlhalla. This information was revealed by Brawlhalla across several social media platforms be it X (formally known as Twitter), Facebook and more. According to information revealed, Aurus is going to be a Gladiator (that’s his status in the game) and he is going to wield a Spear and Chakram (his battle weapons). When this info was revealed, Brawlhalla revealed how he is going to join the “Grand Championship” as the 69th Legend. Aurus officially joins Brawlhalla on June 17, 2026.


Brawlhalla x Shrek Crossover

The Shrek Crossover


After the Aurus announcement, Brawlhalla X Shrek Crossover was announced which also like a crossover between Ubisoft and DreamWorks. The crossover officially launches on July 29, 2026 and it will bring Shrek, Fiona and Puss in Boots to Brawlhalla. Donkey will appear as a companion during this crossover event so 4 Shrek characters will be part of Brawlhalla. I also want to add that this collaboration was also announced as part of Shreks 25th anniversary celebration because many people don’t know so its like a win for Brawlhalla and Shrek fans. Some people might not follow both so the news of the Shrek anniversary should be a surprise to some Brawlhalla fans.


Why This Crossover was a Surprise


Brawhalla has had lots of Crossover since its release from Television shows, movies and other games but the Shrek crossover was one of the most unexpected additions. This crossover shocked both Brawlhalla and Shrek fans because few people expected Shrek to join the battlefield. Community reactions to this crossover on reddit, Facebook, X and other social media platforms range from excitement to disbelief because of how unusual this collaboration.


It’s not Just Skins


Lots of people assume this Crossover is just going to be new Shrek skins in Brawlhalla but that won’t be the case. According to information revealed by Ubisoft, Brawlhalla players should expect a new map which is inspired by Shrek’s swamp along with other fairy themed content. There might be more additions but it’s hard to say for now. Brawlhalla and Shrek fans who play Brawlhalla will just have to wait because more details will be revealed closer to the events July launch date.


Closure


It’s a big week for Brawlhalla as a 69th Legend known as Aurus will be coming to the game on June 17. Brawlhalla x Shrek crossover was also announced and it will include Shrek, Fiona, Puss in Boots and Donkey(Companion). This crossover will also include a Shrek themed swamp battlefield and other fairy themed content. Brawlhalla x Shrek is expected to release on July 29, 2026.
