Kingshot Knowledge Nexus Formation: Best Troop Ratios & Research Upgrades

Kingshot Knowledge Nexus Formation

Knowledge Nexus is in Mystic Trail Mode in Kingshot. It’s really hard and it’s very different from other Mystic Trail zones. It’s different from other zones in that Knowledge Nexus focus entirely on your Academy and War Academy research progress meanwhile other zones test your heroes, pets, equipment and even governor charm. Lots of people also find it difficult because they usually get stuck in Knowledge Nexus. Some people might believe its tough because of formation alone but in actuality, the most important factor Military Research. This just means that Kingshot players with a better combat technology will progress much farther than players who only focus on Hero Upgrades. You need to understand how Knowledge Nexus works in order to build the best formation and that is what this article is for.


What is Knowledge Nexus in Kingshot


Knowledge Nexus is a special challenge zone in Mystic Trial in Kingshot. It’s PvE (Player versus Environment) meaning it’s your troops against the enemies the game designed for you. There are different types Mystic Trial zones and each of them emphasize on something different. Knowledge Nexus in Kingshot is one of these Mystic Trail zones but it was designed to evaluate your Academy and War Academy Research. Knowledge Nexus is honestly very interesting and unique because things such as hero gear, pets, governor charms and even bonuses have little to no impact on the outcome. It’s only influenced by your Research and when I say Research, I mean your troop attack, health, defense, lethality and other military technologies. If you are a Kingshot player that invests a lot in military research, you would have an advantage as compared to people who upgrade construction speed.


Best Knowledge Nexus Formation in Kingshot


The best or most recommended Knowledge Nexus Formation is the 50/20/30. This means 50% of your troops should be infantry, 20% should be Cavalry and 30% should be Archers. This formation will give you a strong frontline and you get sufficient Cavalry supports. Archers should also do a lot of damage. Now I want you to rememeber what I said in the section above, Formations matter but Research matters much more. Formation is important but upgrading your Research is necessary. If this formation doesn’t work for you even after you try it, you can test other formations based on what you noticed when you were in battle. I will suggest other formations if this one doesn’t work.


Other Formations You Can Try Out


The 50/20/30 is a pretty standard formation and it’s recommended. It works for lots of players but it doesn’t work for everyone. From a realistic perspective, different people play differently so one formation can’t work for everyone even though it’s the most recommended. This is what this section is for. If your infantry Research is stronger than your Archer Research, you can try out 60/15/25. This means 60% should be infantry, 15% should be Cavalry and 25% should be Archer. This formation is also good if you notice your frontline dies out very fast or if you want to survive for long. However, you should still test other formations. You know yourself and your troops so you should understand your weakness but if you still keep losing then just know that it’s your Research upgrades that the issue.


Best Research Priorities for Knowledge Nexus


I made mention of how Research is very important in winning Knowledge Nexus. Knowledge Nexus in Kingshot scales directly from combat research so a player with strong research can even outperform a superior player in the game. There are Kingshot players who are stuck because they didn’t upgrade their Research. Research is a core part of the game so it’s important. This section is going to talk about what to prioritize in Research if you want to win Knowledge Nexus.

In Academy Research, you need to prioritize on Infantry Health, Infantry Defense, Infantry Attack, Archer Attack, Archer Lethality, Cavalry Attack and Troop Capacity. In War Academy Research, you need to prioritize upgrading Advanced Archer Attack, Advanced Infantry Defense, Advanced Troop Health, and Lethality Enhancements


Knowledge Nexus Mistakes People Make


The first mistake Kingshot players make is ignoring Research. There are lots of people that focus on heroes, gear and pets but Knowledge Nexus heavily relies on Research stats. Another mistake people make is changing formations frequently. I made mention of how you should test out different formations if the recommended above doesn’t work but don’t frequently change. Change based on your weakness. Finally, don’t over invest in Economic Research such as Gathering Speed, Construction speed etc. Economic Research is important when talking about the game in general but in Knowledge Nexus, it’s not really important.

The best knowledge Nexus formation in Kingshot is 50/20/30. If your infantry Research is stronger than your Archer Research or your frontline is easily destroyed, you can try out 60/15/25. It’s good that you also test out different formations because you know yourself best. Research is very important in Knowledge Nexus in Kingshot. It has more value than Formation so try to upgrade your Academy and War Academy Research.
